Guided Meditation: Leaves On A Stream
Was just introduced to the this 10 minute guided meditation by Milk & Honey mental health (on YouTube) and thought that you may appreciate it. It begins with a visualisation of a river and reframes thoughts as leaves that we observe and let go. I found it helpful to quiet a busy mind and encourage calm. Also, If you have any resources you would like to share, please do! https://youtu.be/exLaebgFO_8?si=zgNatcL1AhGvZc8E

I found this coffee cup in an op-shop and couldn’t say no. It must come from a matching set right? There must be an equally ridiculous giraffe plate and monkey spoons… the search begins 🤣

@Khidana Celestine every time I go to an op shop, I am now finding myself looking for another crazy cup, trying to find the matching pair haha
Podcast ep#1 w/ Danakeli Rose
Introducing The Art Of Self-Connection Podcast - a series of interviews with members of the community, with a twist - you are invited to attend the live recording! 📌Why a podcast? This will be a way to get to know and celebrate you, explore what makes you tick, and form connections with the community. It will also be fun to have a deep dive chat! It will also be an opportunity to invite people from outside the community to join and attend as well (which will help grow the community and connect). 📌How to attend: In the calendar tab you will see the events as they are posted and are welcome to join. 📌Replays: I will collate all the recordings in the classroom tab so they are easily assessable, with bio's and links (if the guest wishes). I will also upload the audio to iTunes & Spotify so the episode can be shared etc. 📌Want to be interviewed? Shoot me a DM and we will arrange a time. ----------------- Episode #1 with @Danakeli Perrry - an embodiment coach, who helps women move through anxiety and overwhelm back to self trust, sensuality and confidence. You can check her out on: facebook, instagram, & website. Click here to see when we will be recording in your time zone! (super special thank you to Danakeli for being the first guest of many!)

December Self-Care Challenge - Staying Sane This Festive Season!
If you are like me, December can be pretty overwhelming with all the commitments and catchups on top of regular life. I love it, but if I don't take the time to rest and recover, I burn out. So rather than go through that cycle again, I've decided to preemptively implement some self-care and I am inviting you to do the same (making it a challenge to keep us all accountable to one another... and more importantly ourselves)! HOW TO JOIN THE DECEMBER SELF-CARE CHALLANGE: Pick one small act of self-care you can do every day to stay grounded and regulated. Something that feels nourishing, simple, and doable. eg: - Music - Reading - Take a bath - Meditation - Nature walk - Exercise - Cup of tea - Journaling Or choose something you’ll cut back on this month to ease the pressure. When you’ve chosen your practice, comment below and let us know what you’re committing to and why! I will keep this post pinned until new year!

@Khursheed Parakh I love that idea, daily journaling, particularly as a way of putting it down. I was introduced to a meditation a couple of days ago where they said to put down a bunch of the burdens, and you can pick them up later on when you leave the space, if you wish, and sounds like you’ll be doing a similar thing, you can put them into the journal, and then choose to return if you like. Curious: do you have an ideal time/duration? I find that when implementing a new habit such as this, knowing when I will do it, and for how long, helps me to stay consistent :-)

@Jennifer Card I love that approach. A simple tracking to see what you’re doing/who you’re around, paired with how it’s making you feel. I wish I had that data! Let us know how it goes :)
How To Use The Community 🌿
Just wanted to really highlight some of the features, benefits and ways to get the most out of this community! 📌 To comment, click the community tab. When posting, just choose one of the categories: - Growth: Share your wins and ask for support (all questions welcome). - Fun: Share your silly side: stories, memes, pets, and other funnies! - Insights & Resources: Share cool resources and insights - Session Replays: Watch and discuss replays from recent sessions. - Updates: Find and comment on recent community updates. - Requests & Feedback: Want to make some changes? Suggest them here! 📌To access courses: In the classroom tab you will find a collection of courses that I have created to help people start on the journey of self-connection. You can access the 'Core Guided Meditation Collection' and the 30 day 'Cultivate A Daily Meditation Practice' course. More resources will unlock as members like your comments, so please connect, comment, and remember to like other people's comments to help them to unlock. 📌To see upcoming live calls and events: In the calendar tab you can see all of the scheduled events, you will also see the next event highlighted at the top of the home page and you will get an email the day before. Remember to add these to your diary. We want you to join in on theses calls! They are opportunities to speak face to face with each other and go deeper on our practice. Currently we have the following events: - Intuitive Guidance: a live deep healing meditation session - Coffee (or Tea!) catch up: a way to casually connect and chat - Co-working: A space to get some stuff done - Podcasts: Interviewing group members to get to know each other (dm me if you want to be interviewed!) 📌Invite people: If you know anyone who would be a good fit for the community, please invite them!
