How To Establish A Habit That Lasts
Quick update, for the next few days I am away on holiday so I won't be posting a live guided sessions until I return. I thought I would use this brief interruption to highlight an important feature of habit building - the need to be flexible and adaptable to life circumstances. It is okay to miss a day. It is okay to make changes. Habits stick when you are consistent, but if they are not aligned with a higher value or 'why' they will fall off when life happens. Instead, if you focus on the overall goal, you will be able to adapt when necessary and ultimately be successful. Meditation is one of the core pillars of mental health, so although I won't be posting my sessions for the next few days, I will still be sitting and practicing. This is the core of my practice (not the recording and sharing) so I will adapt, persist, and when back return. I encourage you to approach your own habit building in a similar way, be it for meditation, exercise or otherwise.

#22 Live Daily Meditation - Intention Setting
Today we practiced "Intention Setting" followed by 10 minutes of silence. Setting an intention for your session helps to keep you focused on the practice. - For a Mindfulness Practice, "For the next few minutes, I will be mindfully meditating to improve my calm, clarity, and focus. I will gently return my focus back to the breath for the duration of the session." - For a Introspective practice, "I will approach and accept everything that arises with compassionate curiosity and calm confidence." You can also end a session with an intention, "I will bring the clarity, calm, and insight from this practice into my day." PS: daily replays can be found here

#22 Live Daily Meditation - Intention Setting
Day 24 of the challenge✅
When I first tried meditation, my main focus was on the breath. I find this very calming. This box breathing is sometimes hard for me because I start hyperventilating from holds because it's not a natural cycle of breathing😅 But in and outs always help🍀
