Cleaning up cold email subscribers 🧹
I am FINALLY "cleaning up" my list by removing cold subscribers who don't raise their hand to stay on our list. Over the next week or so, I am sending 3 emails to a huge segment of subscribers who haven't opened our emails in a while. Giving them one last chance to let us know they'd like to stay on our newsletter... Then we're removing them! I always thought this process would be super scary. I avoided it for so long (literally this has been on my list for years, and has been at the top of my list for 9 months while I diligently ignored it and bumped it to next month 10 times). But now that I'm doing it, it's really not that bad! I wrote the 3 emails. Created a "link trigger" in Convertkit for people who want to stay on to click. And I sent the first one out this morning. Would it be helpful to you all to see the emails I sent after I'm done with this process? Personally I found that every example email copy and template I found online wasn't that great and sounded really formal/awkward, so I wrote my own to match our brand voice. Happy to share them as I'm sending these over the next week if it's helpful as an example!

Skool vs Circle
I'd love to know why you decided to go with Skool and not for instance Circle! :)

I actually love Circle and have great engagement (for my high ticket program), but I'm looking at Skool for alumni and lower ticket membership/free community option.

@Sofia Contreras i’m still on Circle for my high ticket, and it’s working just fine :-) I like it enough to keep the group there for now, although it can be glitchy at times. My group is fairly active, but I attribute that more to a handful of individuals that are very community oriented and like to collaborate. I have not launched another group on Skool yet. I’ve decided to focus on my high ticket for now until the evergreen feels pretty stable, then move onto my next idea which is completely diff biz model. So far Skool seems like the best option for a larger group dynamic.
Scatter brain or creating legit multiple marketing avenues 🧐
This question can apply to many different scenarios I’m sure, at the core I suppose it’s about discernment… the main Q is: How do you determine if you’re spreading attention too thin/wide vs actually creating the necessary components of a healthy biz ecosystem? My current dilemma: I have a proven high ticket program that did well in initial launches but now sales slowing due to maxing out current audience and needing to tighten messaging for cold audience (at least that’s what I sense is happening). But while I’m working on that, I have this major impulse to create a lower ticket membership program with a paid + free option that caters to my ideal clients. I’m finding myself struggling to pinpoint where best to spend my time/energy… prioritizing getting in front of other ppls audiences with tightened messaging, FB ads, etc OR starting community membership that could also feed into higher ticket program. I blame it on having a ton of Gemini in my chart and being a manifesting generator who likes to skip steps and move fast (for HD astro geeks) 😅 BUT sometimes they get me in trouble. Anyone else deal with this kind of issue?

@Max Sheffield cancer 10th house is about care - deeply caring for clients/helping ppl, your own career, line of work, success and sometimes emotional ups and downs about it all because you’re devoted. Ambitious, empathic and creative, but above all nurturing. Sometimes “cancerian” careers like home care, nursing, feeding ppl, serving the public. I bet you’re pretty sensitive and attuned to ppl you work with ☺️
Tips for pre selling to a waitlist
I’m going to be relaunching my program using the HTH structure, but I want to presell to my current waitlist. When pre-selling, would we still use an application process? I would imagine so, but if so— would we share incentives for enrolling early as a reason for them to APPLY or a reason to enroll after applying? For more context: Im going to put together a private podcast feed with a few trainings + replays of our most recent coaching calls as something that folks can get access to when they enroll early which will give them a great foundation to start with when the program is officially re-launched in October. I’m going to share the updated curriculum via a Google doc and have the early enrollment incentive but confused about where the application process falls…

I did a pre-launch “first adopter/beta” pricing incentive and just made it known that those that applied and joined by a certain date got access to special pricing, but I didn’t share what is was until after they applied. They had a deadline to join in order to get it, even though program was not officially starting until later. I had a few trainings ready but we didn’t start the actual program until the “official” launch with increased pricing. It worked well for me.
Refund option for High Ticket
Curious if anyone has offered a refund window for their high ticket program and what the terms look like? Currently I have a no refunds policy, but I'm feeling like giving a window (like 14 days) to ease the jitters about committing $4k+ and locking in for 9 months... thoughts? I have appreciated getting really committed clients and no hassles with refunds, but inevitably, there are people who end up dropping out anyway because they can't make payment (so I don't avoid the admin side of refunds/defaults entirely). Thanks for any thoughts!

@Leigh Norén that is so smart! I’ve done “open house” before with impromptu intuitive readings for a few participants live at the end (the readings are similar to my group call) but it was an afterthought and I didn’t market it front-center…. Thinking about it now, all of the participants I gave live readings to became my clients or joined program after 🤣 I’ll try offering it as a stand-alone like you’re suggesting. Thanks!
