🟢 Pro-Tip: ask for the bread LAST 🍞
Instead of saying ‘no’ to the delicious free bed at the start of the meal, this is what my daughter and I do: 👉 Simply ask for the bread after the main course is finished. You ate the protein. You ate the vegetables. You drank some water. You shared the pasta. You are WAY more likely to say no to the bread or more naturally inclined to eat less of it. Both ways will help you manage your calories better at social meals. It’s also a smart way to ensure your kids don’t fill up on bread before they get to the higher-quality foods. ‼️ REMEMBER: Your toddler’s stomach is the size of their own fist… it’s not that big! Share your best social hunger management hack 👇👇

@Kat Thongpeng knows how obsessed I’ve been with Envy apples… So she ordered 50 and got it delivered 😆 I’m at about 3-4 apples per day… feeling great. No digestive issues (yet) 😉 That’s 15-20gr of delicious fiber btw, eaten with every meal. Satiety hasn’t been higher!! What’s your go-to FILLING FOOD???

Sick season
I catched a cold again. It's sick season here. In my daughter's class are 10 of 30 kids sick. At work people are coughing and sneezing the whole time. It's a wonder if you don't catch anything. Whole January I did not get sick. Now I'm. 😕 This week is one I can't stay home in my bed. So working partly from home and preparing my daughter's birthday on Thursday. I'll take it easy this week. Walking my dog will be my workouts and sleeping more to get better soon. Weekend will be full with birthday celebrations.

Respect for the Cold-Climate Crew
Woke up today with a newfound appreciation for those of you who live in cold climates. After three straight days of freezing temperatures here in Florida…and when I say freezing, I mean 25°F - 31F° (-3°C) I am officially humbled. We are not built for anything below 60 for extended periods of time. All of my plants look absolutely terrible. Some have literally turned black, which is kind of depressing to see. It makes you realize how much weather affects not just our routines, but our environment and mood too. I genuinely don’t know how you all do this for months at a time. I would want to stay indoors, under covers, and not move. So truly…kudos to everyone who wakes up in this kind of weather, gets dressed, goes to work, lives life, and somehow still makes it to the gym. That alone deserves an award. Respect. ❄️💪

@Lena Nguyen lol. I woke up this morning to 62 degrees and had to put on a jacket and lap blanket while I had my coffee. 🤣

@Kathleen Haney I’m going out for my walk now to get some sun too. I’m in Hawaii and it’s funny how cold I feel when the weather hits 60’s. 🤣

@Valerie Frey thanks Valerie. It’s probably easier to have simple meals…. less to calculate. 🤣
