Sydney MoA: Nov 22nd Meetup / IG Grid PhotoShoot!
Gentlemen, let’s give this another whirl! Anyone in the vicinity of Sydney who’s working on their Instagram is welcome to come along and get/give some help (though please RSVP so I can book a table)! Just to be clear: This is NOT a paid or a professional shoot; just some Men of Action getting together to help each other get (or practice getting) grid-worthy photos. The aim: Shots of each of us and groups of us in the following formats - Lifestyle: Full-body Solo shots - - ◦ in high-status / glamorous locations - ◦ that comply with the Rule of Thirds (so activate your camera’s grid and level features) - Candid: “in media res” shots of 2+ folks working on something or on the move REMINDER: Rather than being creative/innovative, the objective is simply to replicate what has already worked for others; if you haven't already, check out the recommended IG profiles of MoA graduates and find/save shots you like. The plan: - Meet for lunch at 1PM at City Extra (1-2 minutes’ walk from Circular Quay train and light rail stations) - Chat and network; find out who we are and maybe how we can help each other ongoing - After 2PM; start scouting locations for the 3-6PM late afternoon/Magic Hour window - 3PM: Commence with the photos until the sun goes down! Locations within walking distance: - Sydney Opera House / Bennelong Point - Barangaroo (a longer walk) - Classy pubs: - ◦ The Hero of Waterloo (Lower Fort St) - ◦ Harbour View Hotel (rooftop bar) - ◦ Glenmore Hotel (rooftop bar) - ◦ The Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel - 5-star hotels (for lobby / bar shots): - ◦ Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel at Circular Quay - ◦ Shangri-La Sydney - ◦ Capella Sydney - ◦ The Langham - ◦ Crown Sydney (Barangaroo) Prepare/bring: - A set of shots from the list of IG Profile Inspiration (in the Off-Market Dating course) that you want to replicate. If you feel stuck, some Aus profiles with solid Sydney shots include: - ◦ https://www.instagram.com/trevor_low - ◦ https://www.instagram.com/xenophondos - ◦ https://www.instagram.com/fixyourig - Items: - ◦ Your phone or camera. - ◦ At least one change of clothes (basically so you can mix outfit between shots). - ◦ At least one prop (laptop, phone, etc.)

What are your wins for October? 🏆
Another month completed means another month with wins. Even if it's just a small win, it can be nice to take some time to celebrate. I often forget about my wins and just focus on achieving more and more all the time. That's a good thing according to me but when I reflect over my wins, I feel even more motivated to keep going. It can be anything from getting numbers, going on dates, or just something in fitness or work. What are your wins for October?

To become the best version of myself and improve my quality of life. I also want to improve my social life and dating.
Another Example of the Power of Female Friends
I went out for Hallowe'en last night, and started the evening out alone. Physically, at best, I'm a 6 right now, and financially I'm just getting by. Because of my style, presence, and social skill, I was getting women who were 6s or 7s and averaged 35+ years old (I'm 47) coming up to me and starting conversations. A couple hours later my female friend (27 years old), who is a solid 9 arrived. After this, I started getting attention from women in their early to 20s and up who were 7s and 8s. Finally we bumped in to a few of her friends (8s and 9s) and I started getting looked over by most of the women in the room down to 19 years old and the 9s started approaching me as well. I didn't have to approach one woman all night. Sure, I got some interest alone, but it only got better with the female friends.

Women like men that other women like.
"Treat a tramp like a lady, and a lady like a tramp."
I have a lot of people giving me unsolicited dating advice in the past week or so. A boomer gave me this advice. Being a millennial I had to research this, it's a Johnny Carver and Slick Rick song so it has a place in the zeitgeist. I get the gist of it, but how do you personally interpret this advice? And would you use it yourself?

I think it's the other way around. Treat a lady like a lady and a tramp like a tramp.
