Another #1 Best Seller! 🎉
✅ Just hit #1 Best Seller in Strategic Management! 🎉 Hello Orange badge! 🧡 I used one important strategy from @Julie Broad’s book to do it. Something I’ve asked about here before. Any guesses as to which one it was???

It is the HOOK
Help with website
Hello everyone! A little context so my question makes sense… I currently run three businesses in the window coverings industry, each serving a different market: • a high-end, niche turnkey operation in Florida • a national e-commerce platform for DIY customers • installation training for industry professionals On top of that, I host a podcast, and I have a book coming out in the first half of 2026. Right now, I’m building a new website to present all five of these major projects under the "Roger Magalhães brand." My question is: For the Book page on the site, what should I include to make it compelling, informative, and optimized for conversions? What type of content helps visitors understand the value and feel excited enough to purchase or preorder? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance and talk soon.

New Kid on the block!
Hello everyone, this is my first post and my official introduction to the community. Just submitted my manuscript to Julie and her team last week. I am very pumped with this project. I have been writing newsletters for my companies for over 12 years. As I am celebrating 20 years in business in 2026, I decided to publish a book with 20 newsletters - one for each year. The original name is Stories That Connect but after the team revision, I am not sure if the name will be kept or altered. One part that I am really excited about it is the fact that the person who inspired me to start writing my newsletters will write the foreword of my book

Greetings from a new member
Hello everyone! To introduce myself I'm retired after having worked 30+ years for one of the New York Metropolitan area's largest transportation/economic agencies. Over those many years I enjoyed a fruitful career, but always had a longing to pursue a writing career. I even took a stab at participating in a creative writing workshop, but I believe I was not confident enough about my voice at the time and stopped with that pursuit. Having grown up in the Midwest my mother always made it a point to take me somewhere interesting for my summer vacations, be it one of the major cities or an historic site. I believe unknowing to her, that sparked a drive within me of one day wanting to work and live in one of the major cities when I got older. That dream did come to pass in terms of having the opportunity of working at the World Trade Center's North Tower for twenty years. Yes, in case you were wondering, I was in the North Tower on September 11, 2001, when the first plane attacked and that is what my book is about. It is a moment-by-moment detail of my experience on that fateful day from the time I awakened until the time I was eventually able to lay my head to rest. It's been a long journey in writing the book after numerous drafts and I'm still at what I believe is the final one. In the beginning over that period of time I wrestled with a host of things as to why I should not write the book; that is, until I finally felt I had been given a purpose to share my particular story. The most compelling of them was believing God had impressed upon my heart His wanting to use my varied experiences from that day and relate them to spiritual insights and lessons. I'm so grateful I took the opportunity to attend the recent "Self-Publish and Succeed" Summit as it was packed full of juicy nuggets and since have been working to incorporate some into my writing, as well as into my author's brand--something I never had any thought about or consideration prior to this Summit. In terms of what is my biggest marketing obstacle right now [tag@Julie Broad], I would venture to say it is: "assuring that my content stays on par with my overall goal and objective, as well as properly documenting quotations and references."

@Pamela Parlor - from one newbie to another! I just joined the community last week and after reading your intro, let me share something.... I was a truck driver (18 wheeler) and I was in New Jersey that morning heading to Boston. The GW Bridge shut down as I was near crossing it and I had to drive my truck-trailer in REVERSE for several miles to find an exit off the highway.... I also mentioned that in my book. We all have stories to share....Good luck with your journey.
BIG Improvements Coming to Our Community!
Hey everyone! I’m Shane, Head of Digital Strategy here at Book Launchers. You’re going to be seeing me around this feed a lot more, so I wanted to properly introduce myself. :) I hail from the great state of Idaho, (yes - the one with the famous potatoes) and I’m an avid hockey fan, dog dad, and have most recently been dubbed a “marketing nerd” by some friendly faces here in this community. So, what are these BIG improvements you say?? A More Organized, Step-by-Step Learning Experience: - If you head over to the Classroom tab, you’ll start to see new courses being added. I’m reorganizing everything so your path through writing, publishing, and promoting your book is simple, clear, and easy to follow. A Major Upgrade to Author Launch Kit: - Our book marketing software just got a massive overhaul. I rebuilt ALK from the ground up based on feedback from hundreds of users, and I’ll continue rolling out new features, improvements, and resources to support every kind of book you’re creating. Weekly Tips, Ideas & Discussions: - The BL team and I will be posting regularly—sharing insights, tools, strategies, and prompts to spark discussions around all things book publishing. We want this feed to become one of the most helpful places you visit each week. Premium Access to Deep-Dive Trainings: - We’ve built up YEARS of incredible trainings, expert interviews, YouTube breakdowns, and super valuable resources. Many of these will be available to all members for free (check out the Author Foundations tab!), and we’ll also be introducing a premium tier with access to more advanced trainings and live calls—all at an affordable monthly rate. I’m thrilled to see this community growing into a real hub for authors who support one another while navigating the publishing journey. My goal is to make sure you have every tool, resource, and roadmap you need—right here, all in one place. If there’s anything you’d love to see added or improved as we keep building this space, drop your ideas in the comments! I’d love to know what topics, tools, or support would help you most.
