Day 4 Challenge: Increase Focus
Practice Anapana Meditation for 10 Min this evening and/or tomorrow morning in silence or using the S.N. Goenka audio When complete, comment below: “DONE! I was present feeling my nostrils for [give rough estimate ie. 30 seconds of 10 minutes] and [what you noticed]. It was easier to meditate in the [morning/evening].” Like AND comment on 2 other posts of fellow community members. Draft out what you've gotten out of the challenge in your journal. - Before the challenge, I [your challenge/struggle/why you joined]. - I joined because [reason you decided to participate] - I realized [any learnings about yourself and your body] - After the challenge, I feel [X] and created [specific, tangible results].
DONE! I was present feeling my nostrils for about 20-35% of the time, off and on and I noticed that it was a little easier than a typical meditation, since I had something to focus on instead of trying to just turn off my thoughts. It was easier to meditate in the evening, only because I was anxious about the morning due to work. However, it did help calm my anxiety.
What movie encourages you to feel some gratitude?
There's still time to celebrate Thankful Thursday! (Sorry for the late post) Do you have a favorite movie that you like to watch over and over again that makes you thankful for being alive?

Day 3 Challenge: Feel Less stress and More Vitality
Body Tap, Washing Machine, then Brain Wave Vibration (aka Dahnjon tapping with fists to lower core) for one deeper session (10 min) OR 3 mini-sessions (2-3 min each) using phrase "I feel X. It's ok, I choose to feel my Dahnjon." UPDATE: After the first 3 comments, I added more on what to post so I can learn what happened. See below! @AngaLee Alexander @Nanette Robinson @Ajda Vogelnik Saje When done, post in SolJoy Sanctuary on Skool: - “DONE! I did [1 deep session/3 mini sessions] and learned when using the phrase "I feel X. It's ok. I choose to feel my Dahnjon" Y." - Post a GIFFY of how you felt after doing it - Share what song you used - Like AND comment on 2 other posts of fellow community members Under Day 3, you can the Spotify song playlist I love to tap and shake to!

Done! I did 1 deeper session, and included your dance warm up from the replay. I love k pop demon hunters, and that song choice was perfect! It’s inspiring me to do something similar each morning. I learned how much getting out of the mind and into the body can calm and center me. I also found that yesterday when I first did the session, I had so many negative feelings flowing out of me. Today, I started to run out of them, and took a moment to enjoy the sensations and focus on my dahnjon. It felt amazing. I listened to “The Power of Love is Here Now” by Alexia Chellun. It relaxed me, and I loved how it synchronized perfectly. In one moment, I said “I feel afraid. It’s okay. I choose to feel my dahnjon.” And right after, she sang “let the fire burn away your fear.” It was very fitting to the fire created in my dahnjon by tapping. This gif is how I felt - happy, and in touch with my self

'Tis the Season - What's on Your Menu?
Hello friends - we are entering that time of year where people start planning a variety of holiday gatherings, and the seasonal changes often bring changes to what we're cooking. As we're in the 'thankful' season, I thought I'd run a series of questions so we can share our favorites (and maybe even some recipes if requested!). So for this week: whether you celebrate Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving, or just a general celebration of gathering and gratitude, what are some of the foods you look forward to seeing on the table? Are there absolute must-haves? Are there absolute never-haves? Share if it's something you love to make, or maybe a family tradition that someone else makes that you enjoyed in the past or still look forward to having. Was there one particular meal that stands out in your memory? Feel free to answer some or all of these questions - I'm looking forward to the inspiration! And I'm on my way to a meeting so will post mine in the comments later this afternoon. :D

I’m a vegetarian, so I always make butternut squash soup, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and a big salad. My family lives down south, so they often make me some collard greens without meat. It’s so fun to share our meals around the table

Walk with Me!
It's been wonderful to be off the socials for many months, basking in nature's brilliant yellow and bright red autumn leaves since Equinox as days grow darker. When a friend of mine had late stage cancer, she shared how by merely walking in nature 3x/week, changing nothing else about her routine, she was able to lower her blood pressure down significant levels. In Japan, doctors prescribe "forest bathing", the art of slowing down using all your senses, to connect with your surrounding environment more deeply. Studies show how slowly walking in nature reduces stress, improves mood, lowers blood pressure and heart rate, and boosts immune function. In short, nature heals. Rain or shine, by communing with nature's generous spirit, never judging, giving you good vibes, absorbing your stress, you too can benefit from even a few minutes. Enjoy the magic of Autumn of gently falling leaves in this video I made for you. (Not the best steady camera work but you'll get the jist!) Get outside this week! Then share a pic below of something beautiful you witness.
