Seeking tips to facilitate a workshop for ideation
I am a UX designer and still quite new to facilitating, therefor all of your input is appreciated! So for one of my clients within the art industry, we are going to hold a workshop, where the primary goal is to provide them with ideas they can test for themselves during their art galleries. - There will be 8 participants and 3 clients present during this workshop (which will take 3 hours) At the moment I have a setup where first our participants (without the client) within a focus group will engage with each other. After that, the idea is to bring the participants and the client around one table divided into 3 groups each having one client with them. Here I want to provide them exercises in the direction of choosing the topic and then creating ideas. However, I am not sure what kind of exercise for choosing the topic and creating the idea I should provide them. Does anyone have some suggestions?

@Benedict Odjobo I think a LDJ could be suitable for this setup, I will have a look at more resources provided by AJ&Smart. Thank you for your reply to my post!
๐Ÿ“Where is everyone from?๐Ÿ“
Hello Facilitators๐Ÿ‘‹ I'm really curious about where everyone is from. I'd love to make this a mega post where we can see how diverse the Facilitator Club community is. Who knows, you might find a lot more people in your area than you thought! Once I have lots of answers on this post, I want to make a nice graph!

This is How I Get C-Level Clients
Discovering new clients doesn't always involve direct sales pitches. In fact, I've found that the best way to get new clients is not by trying hard to convince them. What does that mean? I've been working in the innovation business for 15 years. I know that it's crucial to keep making your product better by talking to customers regularly. For us who run workshops to help customers solve their problems, those problem-solving workshops are our products. So, to get new clients, I reach out to successful senior managers on LinkedIn, like C-Level, SVPs, and VPs. I ask if I can spend 15 minutes learning from them about how they solve problems inside their companies. If they agree, I curiously ask a lot of questions about their process. Why do I do this? - People like feeling important, like heroes. They like being asked for advice. So, I give them what they want, and that makes it more likely for them to say yes to my request. - Sometimes, they just tell me how they solve problems without asking me anything. That's okay - I still learn a lot. - Most times, they ask why I want to know. When I explain my approach, I often hear, "You didn't try to sell anything, but you've sold yourself perfectly." - Success! If you're interested in learning more, please feel free to ask below. PS: What's your approach to finding new clients?

Thank you for sharing this @Adam Egger , I think this is a great approach to conduct, which I would like to try out for myself! Something I personally like to do is attending meet-ups, I gained quite some connections through that, which let with some of them to becoming clients.
