Intro
Hi. My name is Lindsay. I live near Manchester UK. Recently diagnosed ADHD in my 50s. Just retired as a physio now pursuing art and loving it. Very good at reading a room and masking. Always felt disorganised and am definitely a time optimist. Looking forward to meeting you all and learning more. Thanks. X

@Claire Warriner-Hopkins yes time blindness too. I can spend hours painting and not eat or drink. My husband reminds me. Bless him. I have also notice my hormones or lack of them now play a part in my anxiety, lack of motivation and then other times rushing around or overwhelm.Xx

@Michelle Lynn i too feel overwhelmed at times and just need to be by myself doing what makes me happy. Don't beat yourself up about it. Your brain needs a break. Like the wirring circle on the computer, when internet is not working. Xx

My insight for today is that - I mask so much that I am never sure when my reaction to something is an over reaction or a normal reaction. I am always putting others before myself and when I want something I don’t seem to get heard, then I suddenly blow like a volcano with all the pent up feelings. my win today is to put the pile of washing away that grows on my side of the bed, that I forget about until bedtime and then I am too tired to put it away. I am going to do it now!! Not sure about the open loop yet. Xx

Hi Emma. We have a caravan in Anglesey and I have my SUP there. I love going in the sea in the evening and seeing the birds diving for fish or the jellyfish floating by. I found my hyper focus in sketching and painting. I love going for a walk and drawing nature. We also love travelling and I take my sketch book. This last holiday I drew many many cacti. Xxx Where do you like to travel to and where do you SUP? Xx
Telling stories nobody cares about
Hello, my name is Lone and I'm from Denmark. I have taken a lot of creative courses and worked as a facepainter for several years. But quit, took another education, worked as a middle leader, quit, took a another job, but also quit that. There was too little room for creativity. So now I try to make a living by doing illustrations of (Nordic) nature, legends and history. Mostly in watercolor. And also tell the story behind. But few are interested. And I have trouble with the whole networking thing. I am bad at names and forget to reach out to relevant people. I hope this program will help me finishing ideas for getting jobs and just focus in general. My diagnosis is new. I am still trying to figure out how it has and is affecting my life. It sure has resulted in a lot of masking! For fun I like to do different creative stuff. From visible mending, making miniatures, and historic clothing, to gardening, looking for nature materials on walks and bushcraft. Here is a recent project I am proud of: a coloring book with animals, plants and so from the Danish nature. One for each letter in the alphabet. Normally I would do the research, make a few drawings and then move on to the next project. But I finished this 😀 (I don't think that was meant with meaningful. I was just more inspired by sharing a victory)

Well done for finishing. It is so easy to flit to something news. Or other shiny things. Xx
