Hello 👋 from Chester, UK
Hi, my name is Emma, I’m from a beautiful little city called Chester in the North West UK and my career is marketing but I’m now starting my own business and I’m now building an app. I have experience with marketing, strategy, NLP, coaching, SUP, being late diagnosed ADHD and menopausal You can ask me questions about: - Deep and meaningful talk or silly fun things - Travel - SUP adventures - If anyone can help me find my hyper focus I’d be grateful I want to get these things from ADHD Harmony: 1. Tip, tricks, hacks, strategies to get started… 2. …and keep going….. 3. …while having fun, be in flow and finish in style For fun, I like to: 1. Paddleboard 2. Travel and go on adventures 3. Go to the beach 4. Watch sunsets 5. Learn 6. Write 7. Laugh with friends 8. Try new food 9. Take photos of all the cool or pretty or unusual things I notice 10. Try new things!

@Dario Costa thanks I take sooo many photos of things I notice - mainly nature. The sea is at a sunset beach in Anglesey North Wales and the SUP one is an expedition on a lake in Sweden a couple of years ago. I love water and pretty skies so I have loads of pics of both! Where’s home for you Dario?

@Lindsay Waterhouse I love Anglesey where is your caravan? I love the west coast and often will go just for the day if I can’t stay over. Lucky you with a SUP there too! Watching the sea and all the going on is so relaxing better than tv. Have you eeen the Danish lady on here who does beautiful nature illustrations ? Have you shared one of your pictures? I love to get on a plane and go to new places but the Nordics and Iceland have a special place in my heart and last year I went to Scotland and fell in love with the outer Hebrides - the most beautiful beaches might even rival some on Anglesey !

Hi. My name is Lindsay. I live near Manchester UK. Recently diagnosed ADHD in my 50s. Just retired as a physio now pursuing art and loving it. Very good at reading a room and masking. Always felt disorganised and am definitely a time optimist. Looking forward to meeting you all and learning more. Thanks. X

Hi Lindsay I’m not too far from you over in Chester. I love the time optimist phrase I use that too !

@Lindsay Waterhouse I used to work in Deeside! Yep I use it for being late often because I think everywhere is 20 minutes away!
Telling stories nobody cares about
Hello, my name is Lone and I'm from Denmark. I have taken a lot of creative courses and worked as a facepainter for several years. But quit, took another education, worked as a middle leader, quit, took a another job, but also quit that. There was too little room for creativity. So now I try to make a living by doing illustrations of (Nordic) nature, legends and history. Mostly in watercolor. And also tell the story behind. But few are interested. And I have trouble with the whole networking thing. I am bad at names and forget to reach out to relevant people. I hope this program will help me finishing ideas for getting jobs and just focus in general. My diagnosis is new. I am still trying to figure out how it has and is affecting my life. It sure has resulted in a lot of masking! For fun I like to do different creative stuff. From visible mending, making miniatures, and historic clothing, to gardening, looking for nature materials on walks and bushcraft. Here is a recent project I am proud of: a coloring book with animals, plants and so from the Danish nature. One for each letter in the alphabet. Normally I would do the research, make a few drawings and then move on to the next project. But I finished this 😀 (I don't think that was meant with meaningful. I was just more inspired by sharing a victory)

@Lone Kirkegaard your illustrations are really lovely you are very talented I’m sure you’ll find the right people who want to buy

@Lone Kirkegaard they aren’t necessarily unrelated - they could be part of different collections you work on side by side to keep some novelty. That item is so beautiful and earthy and the tones so natural it’s no far away from the intricate animal and nature images. I was in an artists studio in Scotland in the summer and it was lovely to see all the different elements and inspirations in her work - always inspired by nature and her surroundings.
Lost my way
Seems like since I've retired my life has taken a strange turn. I have always been the planner, organizer, manager. Now I can't seem to make a plan come together, or follow through. I have had a number of health issues, and also developed depression and anxiety. My sister told me she thinks I may have Adult ADHD. So, when I saw this program, I thought I'd look into it.

Hi Renee For me, a lack of structure and urgency after redundancy was a really big change for ADHD brains to find a way to navigate a new life style and pace - so this resonates. I’m sure there’ll be lots to learn and try here to help us all feel more motivated and gain momentum.

@Raven Payne you’re not alone - social, structure, identity are all impacted by big life changes like that. The fun part is you now get to craft a you that fits your new life. I’ve heard a few people say the challenge has given them a real boost so 🤞🏻 we both get that!
Shedding old patterns & beliefs!
Two weeks ago I had something happen that has rocked my world, I don’t want to go into what happened but with a lot of reflection, it’s a bitter pill to swallow, laced with heartbreak. What is standing out to me is my response & how that has changed compared to the past. The pre-diagnosis me would’ve grabbed hold of & believed the things that were said, the negatives, taken all of the blame & spiralled in probably a very destructive way, I haven’t this time! I’m recognising my body wants to stop & hide away-that’ll be autism seeking safety, instead I’m showing myself kindness, giving myself the space to process, writing & clearing it out of my head, channeling the energy into decluttering, all the tasks I’ve been putting off, throwing myself into new opportunities & looking after myself. Revisiting the AI report helped massively, helping me understand my triggers/patterns & why I would’ve responded differently in the past. It may not sound alot but it’s a huge win for me & my brain, letting go of the old patterns & beliefs that held me back!🥳

Love this change and how you’ve noticed and reflected on your new behaviour at the time and afterwards in how you help yourself through it!
