Telling stories nobody cares about
Hello, my name is Lone and I'm from Denmark. I have taken a lot of creative courses and worked as a facepainter for several years. But quit, took another education, worked as a middle leader, quit, took a another job, but also quit that. There was too little room for creativity. So now I try to make a living by doing illustrations of (Nordic) nature, legends and history. Mostly in watercolor. And also tell the story behind. But few are interested. And I have trouble with the whole networking thing. I am bad at names and forget to reach out to relevant people. I hope this program will help me finishing ideas for getting jobs and just focus in general. My diagnosis is new. I am still trying to figure out how it has and is affecting my life. It sure has resulted in a lot of masking! For fun I like to do different creative stuff. From visible mending, making miniatures, and historic clothing, to gardening, looking for nature materials on walks and bushcraft. Here is a recent project I am proud of: a coloring book with animals, plants and so from the Danish nature. One for each letter in the alphabet. Normally I would do the research, make a few drawings and then move on to the next project. But I finished this 😀 (I don't think that was meant with meaningful. I was just more inspired by sharing a victory)

@Claire Warriner-Hopkins I found out about ADHD after having colleagues who was diagnosed and that was describing their problems and way of thinking. And my (many) first responses was something like "But that is normal", " that is the same way my brain works". It took a lot of time realising that maybe not everyone was that way. I don't work there anymore, but it was nice relating. I would like more of that 💕
Day 1: delaying this task? 😄
My biggest insight was that even though I tell myself: "just do whatever you will today, it does not have to be usefull" I just end up doing nothing. With a phone I am scrolling. Without I just sit with my thought wandering without any focus at all. The tasks I keep delaying are mostly the ones that takes several days. So my first thought was that I was delaying this assignment. But thinking a bit more about it, I think it is carefully reading a response from my union about some job laws. It is just really long and technical! 😴 Or it could be getting a dentist appointment, but that is mostly because I keep forgetting. I will do it now! 👍

@Debs Molwuka my high goes with getting the kids to school. I always end up panicking a little bit, no matter in how good time we are. Then there is a (hopefully) fast low tide, with a high tide until around one pm. Then I am sleep waking until bedtime, when I am wide awake again and full of energy 😄

@Debs Molwuka I was supposed to take picture of drawings. Actually fun, but there are so many! So I have been starting to learn to play guitar and doing miniature clay sculptures instead 😄
