The Restorative Power of Gratitude
As the week comes to a close, it’s easy to remember the things we didn’t finish, the moments that felt heavy or the places we wish we had shown up differently. But gratitude has a way of softening those edges. It doesn’t erase what was difficult, but it shifts the way we hold it. In Yoga Nidra, even a simple reflection on one thing we’re grateful for can calm the nervous system and invite a state of rest. Gratitude opens the door to presence. Take a moment to pause. Breathe. And let one memory, one small thing you’re thankful for this week, rise to the surface. What is it for you? SHARE it below. Your gratitude might spark someone else’s. Remember to SIGN UP to the Virtual Gratitude Experience! ✧ Sept 21, 2025 | 10AM PT | Virtual ✧ 90 min online gathering ✧ Invite only (You have to Sign Up!) ✧ meaningful connection, reflection, and, of course, gratitude. ✧ mission: leaving people better than we find them.

R.I.P Biggie & Support for Ayla
Hello Nidra Fam, I’m reaching out on behalf of our dear Ayla to share some heartbreaking news. Her beloved companion, Biggie Boi, eclipsed into the spirit realm this morning, with Ayla lovingly by his side after an unpredictable and emotional week of vet visits. 💔 As many of you know, Biggie wasn’t just a pet — he was a source of deep comfort and unconditional love during some of the biggest transitions in Ayla’s life. From moving cities to building her business and community, he was there for it all. He had the sweetest, quirkiest personality — kind of like a grumpy old man who secretly just wanted to share his treats with his friends. Rest easy, little gargoyle. Thank you for taking such good care of our girl.🙏 For those of us who have had the privilege of loving an animal, we know the profound impact they have on our hearts, our nervous systems, and our sense of home. Their loss can leave an indescribable void, and grief has a way of unearthing emotions we didn’t even realize were waiting to be felt. More than anything, I want to make sure Ayla feels surrounded by love and support at this time. Please feel free to leave a message of comfort here for her. If she’s a little slower to respond to your messages in the coming days, I know she will appreciate your understanding. Anything urgent can be directed to me. @Ayla Nova, we love you and are holding you close. Biggie Boi was so lucky to have you, just as you were to have him. May his spirit continue to watch over you and bring you comfort in the days ahead. ✨

Aphantasia?
I have been practicing yoga nidra/nsdr for several years. I was diagnosed with aphantasia about 18 months ago, I have zero ability to visualize. I am just wondering if anyone else in this community has aphantasia?

I do! Although I am not able to visualize, I’m able to have a knowing of what I want to visualize, and it seems to still get the job done. Through the past year of daily yoga nidra I’ve started having visions during my practice. Still can’t visualize, but can see the spiritual messages coming forward.

@Ayla Nova definitely a knowing and a feeling, but not a seeing.
💫Weekly Welcome & Finding Connection🌠
Hello, everyone! I want to begin this week’s welcome with a very genuine curiosity of mine: Yoga Nidra has become a profound part of my spiritual practice — helping me connect to my spiritual body and to Source, God, a Higher Power or whatever name you want to use for something so boundless. It got me thinking — do all of us experience Yoga Nidra this way? Do you use it as both a spiritual practice and a tool for self-regulation and mental clarity? If so, I would love to hear more. I know that sharing about our spiritual paths can be vulnerable, and I deeply respect that. But I also trust that we are all here with open hearts, curiosity, and loving awareness. I'm excited to learn more about each of your unique “spiritual histories" -- if you are comfortable sharing. And with that let’s also give a warm welcome to our FOURTEEN new members this week. We’re so glad you’re here -- we hope you enjoy the meaningful discussions here as we explore the practice of Yoga Nidra together! 💛🌠 • @Dawn Bone • @Travis Williams • @Jennifer Batts • @Mark Buckley • @Robert Nebergall • @Deleted • @Lisa Barker • @Iris Sirianni • @Marianne Miller • @J J • @Sarah Fox • @Marty Twomey • @Sonja Roglic • @Andreas Danielson • @Sandra maria Jellinek • @Deleted •

Yoga nidra has connected me deeply to universal prana and my own prana. I’m now taking a course on prana vidya due to my yoga nidra practice being so profound. I’m learning to harness the energy I’ve connected to in yoga nidra practice to heal myself and others. Yoga nidra has also helped me to start unpacking my subconscious mind. In practice I have visions of scenes or symbols that I feel are probably my subconscious speaking to me. I don’t know what all of that means but it feels pretty profound!

When was the last time you felt aligned? I am inviting you now to take a moment. Take this moment. Feel into your body. Close your eyes... and Drop in. "When was the last time I was aligned?" Is it now? Is it a memory? Where are you? What are you... Feeling? Seeing? Believing? How did you get there? Get here? Drop the judgment. This isn't about not being enough or about healing... it's about feeling! IT IS ABOUT REMEMBERING! ______________________________________ The Key ______________________________________ When we feel out of alignment... the key to realignment isn't in the 'DOING'. Alignment is in your 'BEING' Shaming yourself into wellness, Guilting yourself into healing ARE OUT! Grounding into wellness. Breathing into healing. Feeling into believing. Envisioning into becoming. Accepting. the. present. moment... IS IN. But... REMEMBER THIS: You don't have to do it alone. Not now! Because you are HERE! Alignment is Regulation. Feeling IN balance. ♾️ Let's Align... Let's Regulate... Let's Nidra Together... So we can make our world a little more peaceful. A little more loving. A little more something-special. Join me on February 27 as we RE-ALIGN through the Art of Surrender. Make sure to check the Calendar. AND before you go... Can you share a couple of words below? What would you tell a friend if they shared that they didn't feel aligned? How would you support them? How would you encourage them? Love to you all. Happy 02/22!
