I continue to Runnit!
What I’m feeling / thinking: Thinking about my family and my athletes, and how I can show up at my highest level for both. The responsibility is heavy, but it’s a weight I’m grateful to carry. What I’m focused on: Dialling in my own training this week and staying disciplined. Making sure I connect with MMA promotions for my fighters so their paths forward are clear and aligned with their goals. Obstacle and plan: The obstacle is the feeling of being overwhelmed by the workload ahead. The plan is to stay steady, take each step with intent, and work through the tasks one by one. Pressure becomes manageable when you move with purpose.

Any fighter would feel lucky to have coach like you. Stay strong brother 💪🏻
First Time Judo Class
Yesterday evening one of the strength and conditioning athletes Aubrey and her mom invited a few of us to come train at their gym. This was the first time practicing Judo and I loved it. I appreciate the opportunity to be involved in the skills application side of strength and conditioning 🙏🏼 it also helps give me ideas as to how it translates into strength and conditioning. (The first thing I thought of was sledge hammer slams on a tire 💯 )

Besides wrestling, in my opinion judo is best for developing true strength in combat. Had a guy in my kickboxing division that practiced judo, his first time on national championship he won the first place, he was strong and his gas tank was unreal.

What I’m feeling / thinking: I feel present — fully here in this moment. No rush, no drift, just grounded awareness. What I’m focused on: Staying present. Holding my attention where my feet are. Moving through the day with intention instead of autopilot. Obstacle & plan: The obstacle is life pulling my attention in a hundred directions and dragging me away from what matters most — my family. The plan is simple: remain conscious, stay aware, and give them the presence they deserve.

I hope to reach this kind of resolve
The Book of Five Rings, The Wind Book
Know the limitations of other paths, understanding their flaws strengthens your own. How I’ll apply it today: I’ll study how others train, coach, and run gyms — not to judge, but to improve my own systems with clarity.

The book of five rings - go rin no sho. The book I read meticulously when I was 14-15 and still got that book. Although it can be translated to strategy and tactics of everyday life, I managed to use it to better myself in fighting. Miyamoto Musashi is incarnation of combat itself. I felt the strength of his character in every sentence of that book. Thank you for reminding me of it.
