Different Gears
The use of varied speeds within the programming has been great, it’s helped me understand pacing on a deeper level and given me real insight into my body’s potential. Today’s recovery run before speeding was enjoyable. Is this recommended as an approach for a Hyrox, asking another average pace is where I want it to be ? for example 5:05-5:10 steady 4:25-4:45 fast Not just the running but the machine work has been great too.

So in Saturdays workout we were asked to run 200 steady and push 400m in the run Would it be a recommendation to attempt it in a Hyrox For example steady 400 faster 600 or vice versa?
Spartan
Great race yesterday!! Did the 10 km which was actually 12km. Then 5 km which was7km. 19km total felt great had a lot of fun and got all my clients and wife through successfully. 32 degree heat and very hilly Woodford Australia Tired today though.

Amazing video call
Truely guys that video call was one of the most knowledge packed things I have listened to. Maybe due to it being so specific, but also with the examples of progression that people can achieve. Thanks for answering my question, you interpreted it correctly and that helped. Also thanks for explaining the full purpose of the blocks and the cycles, the really helped me to realise that i am actually meant to be feeling the fatigue on given days, as I thought that was me failing and not being ready to do the volume. It’s comforting knowing that is the intention and that as it progresses I will adapt. Also knowing the purpose of each of the weekly runs and how they fit together is really helpful too. Thanks for your time and that has fueled a fire in me.

Struggling to find the time on a Monday
So Mondays session is aweosme by the way. Love the structure. I am Really finding it hard to fit it all in. And then tried the run at mid day in 37 degree QLD heat and hit me in the face. That was a freak heat tho I assume Is it ok to try and split the run and the rest of it? Or even change the day I Run. If I am honest I also find it tough to run 3 days on the run with Saturday Sunday and Monday so maybe it’s time to start resting Monday, even though I enjoy the zone 2. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks Kev

Yeah sorry didn’t explain that well. With Saturday being the compromised run on Saturday then I did the 2km test Sunday. Both be honest we had severe heat warning yesterday, i think that was the main issue. Did the first part on the treadmill. Then moved outside for part 2 and lasted 600m and my body shut itself down. I thought it was me hitting a wall. But I just think it was the heat
