How important is your running gait? Today's live call replay
@Jesse Garn and I just got off the live call, talking all things running gait! Spoiler: it is often overrated. But there are times where it can be helpful to consider. Watch our chat below for more discussion! We'd love to hear your experiences with changing your running form - good? bad? ugly? (Give more details in comments!)

How to Know When You're Ready to Progress Your Strength Exercises
@Ashten Cullenberg and I ended up having a lot to say on this topic! (who knew 🤪) We talked details about this including making sure to consider how long you've been doing your exercises, your consistency, the effort level (and how to measure this), can you trust your perceived effort? Our bodies are usually able to handle more than we think - hopefully this convo helps you continue to push yourself to be able to keep building more durability! Ashten might have also convinced me to sign up for my first ultra.....🫣

How to Know When You're Ready to Progress Your Strength Exercises
Ashten going live at noon! SS Open Enrollment call - How to Know When You're Ready to Progress your Strength Exercises
Hey all! Just a reminder that @Ashten Cullenberg will be going live today at noon EST for our monthly Steady State Open Enrollment live call. Who should attend? - If you're in-between appointments and have any questions you would want to chat with a SS PT about - These questions can be about anything related to running, training, strength, mobility, rehab, prevention, etc Ashten would love to chat with any of you rather than talking to herself on screen (haha). But she does have a planned mini-topic for today: how to know when you're ready to progress your strength exercises. If you can't attend but have questions or topics you'd like to learn more about comment these here and she can talk through them on the call!

How to know if you have a tendinopathy (most common running injuries)
@Jesse Garn and I dug deep into recognizing early signs of tendinopathies on Friday's call! Tendinopathies include achilles tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, IT Band syndrome, proximal hamstring tendon issues, lots of lateral hip pain (gluteal tendinopathy), patellar tendinopathy, post tib tendinopathy, and more. All of these are conditions that are generally okay to run through some pain, as long as it stays relatively mild. This is KEY. So many runners ignore early tendinopathies, and then finally seek help once it is a much bigger issue (which takes significantly longer to fully rehab). This convo will help you better know if you may have an early tendinopathy so that you can avoid it progressing. Leave any questions below!

2/20/26 Live Call and Q&A
Hey everyone! Hope your week is off to a good start. This Friday at 12pm EST, @Kelton Cullenberg and I will be talking about another big topic we see in distance runners - Tendinopathies. Like our topic on bone stress injuries, there is a ton to unpack with this in terms of identifying symptoms, intensity, and load management to help our clients get back to running pain-free. We will also be having a Q&A after this discussion, and if you have any questions ahead of time, please comment below and we will answer them!
