How to know if you have a tendinopathy (most common running injuries)
and I dug deep into recognizing early signs of tendinopathies on Friday's call! Tendinopathies include achilles tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, IT Band syndrome, proximal hamstring tendon issues, lots of lateral hip pain (gluteal tendinopathy), patellar tendinopathy, post tib tendinopathy, and more.
All of these are conditions that are generally okay to run through some pain, as long as it stays relatively mild. This is KEY. So many runners ignore early tendinopathies, and then finally seek help once it is a much bigger issue (which takes significantly longer to fully rehab). This convo will help you better know if you may have an early tendinopathy so that you can avoid it progressing.
