New video Style - feedback?
Whats up Synthesizers Would love your thoughts on this Context: I create videos for men who have started in entrepreneurship/MMO (agency, remote closing, coaching etc..) but are stuck in an "old identity" - bad habits, can't manage emotions, procrastination, trying to increase work output/performance etc I'm going with a new video style that feels more aligned me compared to past content, I like to teach and break things down on whiteboards compared to overly edited videos Feedback on this video specifically has been good compared to others Buut Would love to hear what some of you think to get a broader perspective on things like: - hook - overall value - entertainment - engagement I'm aware that these types of videos will be boring for some people who love over the top edits but I'm okay with not attracting those types of people for the time being but I still want to make them engaging For those of you who watch I appreciate your time 🤝

🛖 How to find your Tribe as a Creator
I just finished Film Booth's Avatar Workshop and Arlin Moore's Tribe Accelerator here is what I learned: There are 3 types of creators: 80% type 1: Just makes videos that he likes and wonders why he is not getting any views 15% type 2: Asks his audience about what they want to watch, he is getting decent views, but nothing extra 5% type 3: He makes videos to a specific avatar, the creator knows better what the viewer wants than them, and the viewer feels as if every video was made just for him and thinks that the creator can read his mind. Note: If you want to join the 5% you have to have a specific avatar that you will create content for! Do you need an avatar if you make videos for your younger self and you are solving your problems? the answer is yes because you still have to specify your younger self, and maybe you want to focus only on a part of your younger self. So to answer the title, to build a tribe/community you have to build your viewer avatar, if you have one you will attract a type of people to your channel. You just have to ask would Jake (or insert your viewer avatar name) love this video? You have to keep in mind your viewer avatar every time you make your thumbnails, edit the videos, choose the titles, make inside jokes, build a product, etc. it's the foundation of everything. yesterday I talked with Jamie, and we worked on a thumbnail, and the question that came up, is that would your avatar click on it? Does he feels any emotions when he looks at the Tiktok Demon on the thumbnail, does he even loves cartoons? would it give him a nostalgic feeling and makes him curious? If the answer is yes, then the thumbnail is great, and the viewer will unreasonably feel that he has to click on the video. but if his viewer avatar hasn't read comics but only reads books and watches films, then the viewer won't feel the same connection, maybe he would click, but never would vibe with you and become a superfan

Great share man! appreciate you taking the time to go through all that
Do you want to never have to take notes on a video again?
If you're anything like me you like taking notes on videos to learn and retain info This tool is a game changer because it basically does that for you! This will easily save me 1000's of hours in the future https://myjotbot.com/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6ETJjVNP4M

Personal brand under my name or separate brand
Hello everyone! I'm starting a Skool community about personal finance, Bitcoin and investing. I have an existing group of friends and family whom I help with investing which is called (F*ck U Capital, the name is aggressive/provocative on purpose). I have a blog set up on Substack for F*ck U Capital and 've created separate Twitter, YouTube and TikTok accounts for it. My question is: what is the general consensus in the approach of not building this synthesizer/personal brand directly under my name but as a separate brand instead? Will this hinder my growth or affect me in the future or is it OK? Thanks!

Building a personal brand is easier because you have more flexibility. People change their beliefs all the time and are constantly growing... so in the future you have room to pivot without disrupting your audience too much by going in a slightly "different" direction based on the market etc. Besides people connect to you.. not a "brand name" But for a Brand name.. it takes much longer to build and you have to be 95% sure of everything in the early stages (messaging, vision, avatar etc) because you don't have that same flexibility.. you can't really go in a different direction if you "feel" like it because it's not a person. On top of that it takes so long and so much marketing and advertising for a brand to really take off because of that lack of connection you don't get from a human, it requires constant exposure Like if coca cola put pivoted from soft drinks into selling plants.. it would make no sense but if Javier likes soft drinks and plants.. people can relate to that and it actually builds connection.. make sense? Personally if you build your personal brand and audience.. then launch a brand from that.. much easier.. Look at KSI and Logan Paul launching Prime and selling that to coca cola - epic deal if you we're looking for financial advice would you listen to a person who demonstrates their credibility and has a personality with low following or a faceless brand page that has a low following? (maybe you have a big audience, I don't know) I've seen the same with agency IG pages (had one myself lol) an agency IG page looks like a scam most of the time unless it's well know where as an agency owner it's much easier to build trust Sam had faster success with Skool because people already knew him from his personal brand / ads.. get known first in my opinion then look at building something to sell in the long term using that leverage. Theres no right or wrong - both are possible but there's always a road that others have travelled that has the biggest advantages in the long term

@Will Moore-Jones No worries man!
My Unique Way Of Viewing Skool
I see social media apps like TikTok and Insta as if you are going to the supermarket (Tesco or Aldi). You buy mass-produced, ultra processed cheap meat. Plus the customer interaction is sh*t. But hey… at least you saved a few pounds. I see Skool as if you go to the local butchers. You buy quality meat there, locally sourced - it's a little more expensive but the quality is 10X better. You have a better interaction with the staff, actually know their names and ask after their family. You leave that local butchers feeling better about society. As if you contributed to something.
