You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Going to move my FB Mastermind and Kajabi course over to this platform. Taking a chance on what I'm betting will be an amazing experience for my clients.

@Akash Gupta there is something to be said for ease of use. Skool is so user friendly. I showed it to my biz partner this morning and 60min later she's running with it. Simple, effective, and a very clean and crisp user experience. Every product is going to have pros and cons - for your needs. Grab the one that works best for you. I found mine - here - yesterday. 😎

Prepared by our Product Manger, @Nick Guadagnoli. We hope you're enjoying Skool 🎉

Agree 100% - being able to utilize the platform under my brand, colors, domain etc would make things so much better than it already is.

I made this fun little video today. It explains what Skool is in 2 minutes. Check it out!

I like the video.. simple and easy to understand.

A few questions… 1.) Is it possible to have multiple Courses in the “Classroom”? (UPDATE: YES). 2.) If yes, is it possible to give Community access to members of Course 1, but not members of Course 2? (UPDATE: not currently) 3.) If not, are things of this nature on the 2022 roadmap? And most importantly: 4.) I would love to have the ability to tier access, whereby you could have ONE Skool Group, but allow some people access to ALL Courses in the Classroom, and others only some Courses. This would be akin to the concept of "Offers" in Kajabi parlance. An Offer in Kajabi can give access to 1 Course, or a mixture of Courses. It would be great if Skool had this sort of "permissions" logic.

It is said to build a business you have to invest in yourself, and your business. To grow it you have to reinvest along the growth path. I was thinking after finding this platform just yesterday, that $99 for a private group is a bargain, considering what unseen info FB has been taking from us for years. That said, not only will I have mostly paid access groups, and you should, but since it is free for potential students to enter our world of Skool, why not invest in an extra group that is free where you can use it like an incubator on the platform. Just like we experienced being here in this group.....🤔 A place for them to come test drive what you have to offer. Screw spending 99 on ads when you can do so much more with an Incubator group. This was just something that came to mind last night I thought I would share. Thinking past the scarcity is required to grow a business. Thinking and feeling about the investment is exciting and powerful when combined. Do any of you have an incubator group like this? #incubator

Moving a free incubator group next week. Going to promote the heck out of it. And need a plan to keep them engaged over here on a daily basis.

I like the default rules we're provided with, but what are some cool/fun ideas for rules in your group/community or that you've seen? I only have 2 rules but I feel they're kinda lame.

I'm trying to sort out the pros and cons to uploading classroom videos using YouTube unlisted versus Vimeo. I could care less about price - looking for some input on which platform to host the videos on. Thoughts? Experiences?

Runs really well on mobile thru a browser but the APP is coming!!!

Hi team, Will there be an option to send e-mails to my Skool group members more frequently? I want to make announcements more often as for when I upload a new module. So curious to know if this will become a possibility. Thanks! @Nick Guadagnoli @Sam Ovens

I like this platform because its simple and clean. It's easy to use and navigate. Attaching the community to my courses makes it a more social area. The email blasts can bring back in members who have disappeared. I run my mastermind, course and weekly meeting al thru the features here - Community, Classroom and Calendar. When in doubt pick "C". lol

Has anyone used Skool for online fitness masterminds? I'm currently using Clickfunnels to host my course material and then Workplace by Meta for the community aspect. Love to hear your thoughts/experiences

I previously hosted my fitness course thru Clickfunnels and used FB for mastemrind. And of course PT Distinction. But this brings the course and community together. 100% it will be effective in the fitness realm.

Would anyone else like to have every required tool to run a course business inside of skool like: I think skool should have these. Let me know what you think.

Custom branding would be my choice out of those above -I cover everything else off thru my GHL white label automations.

Problem: if someone cancels the paid membership of my group I have to delete the member manualy. If he/she wants to come back later, the invitation process etc. starts again. Possible Solution: make it possible to Pause/reactivate an account with one Click. What do you think? Dennis

Hey guys! Might be worth considering a feature that allows us to manually add/remove points from people, so we can further gamify things within our program. For example, inside my program I'm looking to introduce gamification but I'd like to let people accumulate points by: - Attending calls - Signing new clients - Filling out our weekly feedback form - Completing action steps - Sending us referrals ...and so on. I think it would be REALLY powerful if the admins could go into the leaderboard tab and +/- people's points. The current feature is great, but I think further functionality could enhance engagement and accountability even more. Thanks!

Hello All - This is YK. I am CEO of NeoStrategy. We are into SMB business consulting and coaching. We do more of 1:1 business consulting. Planning to move into small group coaching programs. My requirement is really at this stage - Convert my existing content (webinar recordings, session recordings, etc) into small course kind or even just a repository of my content - videos, excel templates and ppt etc - Currently for communication we use WhatsApp groups. Want to see if my clients would really bother to join to communities etc - Ideally an App version would be good - but we can live with web version now I am currently trying Skool but found very simple (jn a way good) for course creation. Also, not sure if this product is fully in the market or not. Can Skool fulfil my requirements?. I am not into typical course selling business. I have some niche clients and I need to be able to make them do some rework by going through videos etc. Also, can I have some direct zoom call with any Skool team to clarify other questions? Appreciate your help

I’ve changed up my business model slightly to fit skool. I had to take a deep dive into how I could use the platform for my needs. Sure - I’d like to see a few other things. But I’m not focusing on that. I’m going to maximize what skool offers right now - and evaluate in a few months. It’s only going to get better.

@Sam Ovens Is this an organic growth tool or is there an affiliate program for bringing in paying members? I ask because some of my students, I believe will want to use this tool as well. Hopefully this is in the works, or I haven’t found it yet. Thanks for building Skool🔥⚔️🔥 Or I should say for Reinventing it!🎁

The only way right now - would be the chat feature to send you content.

Ideally, I'd love to move all of my team over to Skool, clients and staff.

A sub group for my team would help. That way we can work behind the scenes and still be attached to the main client group without the extra $99/mth

Hi can the Community be free and classroom for paid members only?

I’m going to be using 2 separate groups - one free with a few small value courses and group zooms . This will eventually replace my free FB group. And then my high ticket paid group with their own community. So $99- x2 It will cost me double but I’m certain I can build that free community and provide enough value to keep the high ticket conversions going.

Hey team, I'm excited to announce that Skool is officially out of beta a ready for everyone to use! We've been in beta for 2-years with 500 groups to get the product right and perfect the details. Here's some important updates: • Skool's business model — we decided to charge $99 /group /month. • You can create your own group with a 14-day free trial here. • We made a "Skool 101" mini-course showing you how to use Skool with best practices. • We're holding monthly "Skool office hours" livestreams for product updates and Q&A. Thank you to all of our original beta members! Building Skool has been an amazing journey so far and I'm even more excited by what's coming next. We're just getting started! Check out the video below for a quick overview of the product. Enjoy 🎉.

I'm already a fan of this platform... moving my mastermind over this week. Thank you for this!!!

I have built a custom LMS for my business, and even bought a mega premium domain... switching my course on skool would mean uploading all the content on skool and basically losing my brand and LMS... Do you have any idea when we are going to have a white label feature?

@Ted Carr 100% agree. White label or not - my clients don’t care. They know you are using a software platform to deliver material. People like simple, straightforward and easy to use. Skool hits those points - plus the newness factor is cool.

@Sam Ovens do u use skool to nurture leads like what people uses Facebook group for

I have a large niche audience of professionals so there will be value in having the free Skool community group without the FB distractions. I’m not sure it will work for everyone. But I’m going to set it up and give it whirl.

Can I set admin for the group management?

I uploaded videos quickly and easily the past few days. I went with uploading them to YouTube and having them unlisted - grabbed the link and pasted into the course. Awesome!!

Hello there! I have some concerns to take the plunge of using Skool for my community. Can you share some other people's communities so I can see how they use it also? Would my customers see Skool branding everywhere and offer to buy Skool? I get a pretty good idea by seeing this community but I would love to see how others have them set up.

@Maxx Michkovsky That would be the same for almost any platform. I don't see Skool as pitching anything. I guess people could pay and start their own communities.

@Nick Guadagnoli I have a client who's a physician and he's worried about privacy with his posts in my community. 2 questions: 1) Can he change his profile name? He's already been in the community a few days using his real name, but he wants to change it. 2) Is the platform secure if someone searched his name on Google, for example, is anything in the skool community accessible? Thanks!

Looks like you can change your name once but they want your real name. Maybe middle plus?

I was one step away from using Skool, but I would also like my free facebook group to migrate into the same owned social network (like Skool). Everything in one place. Especially the free group because that's where my potential clients are and they should hear from me every week and get this 'family feeling' and becoming a part of my brand, so they automatically feel the most trust with me and wanting to upgrade to my premium program when they are ready. But I'm worried that the engagement will be low in the free group because it's a new platform...any thoughts/opinions? My strategy: 1. Place 1 weekly free training video in the free community (webinar style) 2. Send a notification email to everyone when a new training is released 3. They can ask all of their questions about building an online business to the members Is that enough to keep them coming to Skool weekly...? (instead of the free FB group) I'm getting nightmares about Facebook 😆

My only concern was that with FB - they are already there. Our group "posts" show in their feed. So they get exposed slowly over time whether engaged or not. I'm debating offering this platform to 200 from our free group members and seeing if we can keep them signed in and engaged without the Ads and other FB distractions. It would be a demo audience from our free groups to test it out.
