Life/Community Update + Flow Video
Hey guys, sorry I've been off here a bit. Life has gotten busy with a few job transitions - but some fun news! I'm starting a new position as a striking coach at gym in Washington DC! I'm teaching both boxing and kickboxing so it's really exciting stuff and lines up greatly with this community. I plan shooting content of my classes and sharing it on here! Below I share a little kickboxing flow in the gym after teaching one of my classes. I also started my own cardio kickboxing side hustle and teaching a few classes thats been steadily growing! Maybe I'll add an online version of that here so people can join in! I'm still in the middle of a few life things, but once things are regulated - I will be making this community a BIG priority as I have lots of great stuff coming for this.

What's your Stretching Routine? If Any>
I've been incorporating a daily 10 minute stretching routine to allow for better kicks. I've been mixing it up with a few different stuff every time. Mostly working on my split stretch. Lately my favorite is when I've put my leg sideways on a sofa couch and set a timer going for 1-2 minutes and will do this a couple rounds. Right after, I'll have awesome kicks 🦵 How about you guys? Any stretching routines or are you currently struggling to have one?

When I'm being consistent I like to do a 30 min full body stretching routine right before bed. I'll put on some tunes or a show and just stretch for 30 mins. It turns something tedious into a nice way to wind down 😊
Non Telegraph Punch! Any MJW fans here?
Whats up guys, I'm a big fan of Micheal Jai White and his movies - Black Dynamite, Spawn, Undisputed, etc. And he's a great martial artist who has some very sick techniques - one of which is the non telegraph punch! The punch allows you to hit your opponent without them even noticing, even if you aren't that fast! Check out the breakdown of it here (also on the classroom) and let me know what you think! Have you tried a move like this before?

Monday Motivation: No Negotiating
Happy monday everyone! I wanted to share an important tip for training this week which is no negotiating with yourself, I heard it best from one of the greatest basketball players ever Kobe Bryant share his thoughts on it in the clip below ⬇️ If you say you're going to do it, then thats it - the contract is signed and you can't take it back. If you find yourself saying maybe you should relax, take a break, go slow, skip - be aware of that voice in you and immediately stop it. It is the weak part of you looking to take over 🙅‍♂️ Do not allow your self doubts to get in between you and your goals!
