STOP STRETCHING TO IMPROVE MOBILITY - Do this instead!
Hey guys, so I want to share the biggest tip that has improved my understanding of mobility and getting more out of my range of motion and thats - focusing on strength 💪 OVER just stretching 🧘 I've spent years stretching my hips only to get barely noticeable improvement on my range of motion ❌ Yet once I was started making my hips STRONGER, my ROM improved dramatically without having to get warm and stretch for a bunch of time 🤯 This is because a stronger muscle can actually HANDLE going further in range rather than stretching a weak muscle that may temporarily REACH it - which is what often leads to injuries! 🤕 The best phrase I've heard on this that I'm stealing, "Stretching rents range of motion, strength buys it!" 💰 🚨 That's why I created a 20 minute Hip mobility flow video in the classroom here that covers several hip strengthening exercises (and some stretches) to build strength in these weak areas and actually improve your range of motion 🚨 Check it out on the classroom tab under the Mobility category and let me know what you think! 😊

This really gave me a new perspective on flexibility, wow. “Stretching rent range of motion, strength buys it” loved that👌
Training Motto Of The Week: Everyone's Got A Plan...
"Everyone has a plan till they get punched in the mouth" - Mike Tyson 🥊 We all have goals and timelines in our training, with that comes the plan we love to strategize on. "I want to lose X weight by this date... I want to lift Y weight by this time... I want to prepared and ready to participate in Z event at this time...I just have to do XYZ for this amount of time and I'll be ready!" Then you get punched in the mouth, AKA: something doesn't go as planned, the schedule gets thrown off, someone doesn't do what they say they'll do, injuries occur 😫 It sucks. Its annoying. Its frustrating. And its also part of life. Plans fall apart all the time. The question is, what will you do when that happens? How will you adapt to it? 🧐 There is no winning, no well earned victory, without the grit to overcome unforeseen challenges 💪 So this week think - what ways will you need to adapt and have grit to power through some unforeseen challenges?

Love this. 🔥 Such a powerful reminder that growth doesn’t happen when things go right, it happens in how we respond when they don’t. It’s been tough staying consistent with training while traveling, working, and juggling plans, something always comes up. But things will always come up, and I can’t keep using that as an excuse. Grit means showing up anyway, even when it’s not perfect. 👊
New Hip Mobility Workout Video Dropped!
What's up guys! Hips and lower back has always been a major weak point for me as it gets incredibly stiff and hard for me to perform my ninja kicks 🦵and it's something that I'm working to improve on since I started this community! That's why I made a video providing a quick 15-20 minute workout for hip strengthening & mobility that has been personally helping me for: ✅ better range of motion ✅ Developing strength & power ✅ Creating a "bouncy, elastic" feel to my kicks like a strong rubber band. I will attach the video below here and in the classroom! Let me know what you think of the video and if theres other parts you'd like help developing strength and mobility in!

Desperately needed this one. Tight hips can lead to lower back pain, hip pain, knee pain. & I want to avoid all of it😄 Will be following this routine regularly👌
Second session implementing Jefferson Curls
Felt good today, did these at the end of my workout today and was definitely more challenging since I was already fatigued. But I’m loving them so far. How’s my form @Rajesh Nair

Training Motto Of The Week - Empty Your Mind
"Empty your mind. Be formless, shapeless, like water. You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow, or it can crash. Be water, my friend" 🌊 - Bruce Lee Now we've heard this quote before. It's one of my favorite quotes from Bruce Lee. Yet as thoughtful as it is- it is also hard to put into actionable steps. How can we truly and realistically apply this to our training? 🤨 A big part of NinjaFit for me is to not always learn how others train but rather to listen to my body and learn what helps it improve its movements. - Question what you think you know and should do. - Abandon the limiting ideas you have about yourself and body. - Empty your mind and feel what your body responds to. - Experiment with movement, workouts, be in a state of play. - Be water and watch your limits dissolve. What do you guys thinks? Are there limiting beliefs you have about your body that you wish to overcome?

Beautiful quote, and something I know everyone has struggled with. I definitely find that I don’t push myself as far as I know I can. Definitely some limiting beliefs there. I’ll be keeping this in mind in the gym today🌊
