STOP STRETCHING TO IMPROVE MOBILITY - Do this instead!
Hey guys, so I want to share the biggest tip that has improved my understanding of mobility and getting more out of my range of motion and thats - focusing on strength 💪 OVER just stretching 🧘
I've spent years stretching my hips only to get barely noticeable improvement on my range of motion ❌
Yet once I was started making my hips STRONGER, my ROM improved dramatically without having to get warm and stretch for a bunch of time 🤯
This is because a stronger muscle can actually HANDLE going further in range rather than stretching a weak muscle that may temporarily REACH it - which is what often leads to injuries! 🤕
The best phrase I've heard on this that I'm stealing, "Stretching rents range of motion, strength buys it!" 💰
