Review - Tom Ford Signature Collection Beau de Jour
Wearing the EDP from the Signature Collection to work again today. Originally launched in 2019 as a Private Blend and rereleased in 2020. It’s a modern take on the classic aromatic fougere. It opens with lavender that's fresh, slightly powdery, and herbal, evoking a vintage barbershop vibe but polished. The heart brings in green, aromatic notes with an earthy, herbal crispness and subtle floral and minty facets. The base settles into warm patchouli and amber giving it a musky, slightly sweet depth that feels confident and grounded without being heavy. Overall, it's a well groomed gentleman fragrance that’s masculine, classy, timeless, and sophisticated. It’s versatile for day or night, office to evening. Performance is solid with longevity around 8 hours and moderate projection (strong opening, then settles closer). It's not overly sweet or trendy, it's refined and mature. If you're into lavender driven scents with herbal greenness and a warm base, it's a winner. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a confident, modern barbershop fragrance that's still classic.

#Allnightlong
Been wearing this fragrance for the past days. I’m absolutely hooked on this delightful combination of fresh pineapple, mint, creaminess, and saltiness.

Review and SOTD - Amouage Reflection Man
Working through a decant, I decided to wear this for work today. It’s cooler here, but not too cold and hitting a high of 60 so this one seemed like a good choice. Reflection Man is a woody floral musk created by perfumer Lucas Sieuzac. It's clean yet sophisticated, elegant, and polished. Opens as a fresh, aromatic, slightly spicy scent. The heart has white florals that bring brightness, creaminess, and a touch of powder. In the base you have creamy woods, earthy grounding, with a smooth, musky finish. Overall character is fresh soapy, clean laundry, that quickly evolves into rich, balanced white florals with a powdery, slightly sweet edge. The drydown becomes creamy sandalwood that’s expensive smelling without being heavy or gourmand. Performance is solid for a fresh leaning fragrance. Good projection for 2-4 hours, then settles into a strong skin scent that lasts 8-12 hours. Very well-blended, balanced, and thoughtful rather than simplistic. If you like clean, soapy, woody scents it’s outstanding.

SOTD: Scandal Pour Homme Elixir by Jean Paul Gaultier 03/03/2026
Released in early 2026, this is the newest and most intense chapter in the Scandal saga. I kinda skipped straight from the edt to the Elixir. This flanker moves away from the bright, caramel-heavy DNA of the original, leaning instead into a dark, boozy, and seductive profile. Perfumers Quentin Bisch, Natalie Gracia-Cetto, Christophe Raynaud & Louise Turner all worked on this formulation. It's a Woody Amber, but is defined by a "Black Cherry" note that replaces the traditional clary sage and caramel opening of the line. It opens with Black Cherry, Lemon & Bergamot. A punchy, liqueur-like cherry. It’s sweet but dark, avoiding the cough syrup pitfall. At its core, notes of Patchouli, Lavender, Rum & Geranium. The cherry melts into a boozy rum accord with a clean patchouli that adds structure. At the Base, Tonka Bean, Vanilla & Akigalawood. You get a deep, smoky, yet creamy dry-down that feels more mature and velvety than previous versions. Performance is so good, I'm hitting the 8hrs mark on my skinBecause it is a "Parfum Elixir," the oil concentration is high, meaning it clings to skin and clothes well into the next day. Projection is also strong for the first 2-3 hours before settling into a dense, noticeable scent trail. It's ideal for Cold weather, date nights, and clubbing. It is likely too heavy for a gym or a high-heat office environment. If you found the original Scandal or Le Parfum too bubblegummy or youthful, the Elixir is the correction you’ve been waiting for. It is darker, woodier, and feels significantly more sophisticated. It sits in a similar space to Tom Ford Lost Cherry or L’Homme Idéal Parfum, but with that signature JPG "loudness." My Rating 8/10 Scent 2.5 Longevity 25 Sillage 2 Y/N 1

The Fragrance Wears You...? (re-up'd)
Hey guys, Joe A. here with another one for ya'! Quick thought experiment for ya'! Most of us wear fragrance for all the usual reasons… to smell good, feel confident, pull compliments, make memories, or let’s be honest, to justify buying the next bottle sitting in our cart. Fragrance is one of the most personal accessories a man can own. Watch, shoes, jacket… sure. But scent? That’s invisible style. But every now and then, you hear someone say: “That fragrance wore you.” Now hold up… what does that even mean? To me, that’s when the scent walks into the room before you do… and kinda refuses to leave when you arrive. It dominates your personality instead of supporting it. Maybe it’s too loud, too mature, too sweet, too dark, or just completely outta sync with who you are or where you’re headed. Instead of enhancing you, it becomes the main character and you’re just the delivery system. I think most of us have been there. Oversprayed a beast mode oud at brunch. Rocked a heavy winter amber in Florida heat. Tried to channel mysterious CEO energy… while running errands in gym shorts. Suddenly the fragrance isn’t an extension of you, it’s fighting you. The sweet spot? When the fragrance feels like an amplifier, not a costume, right? What say you, guys? Have you ever worn something where you felt like the fragrance wore you instead? What scent humbled you real quick? And what advice would you give newer fragheads trying to avoid that mistake? Love to hear from ya’

I am currently using #Allnightlong by Ramon Monegal and I don’t care if it’s suppose to be for the warmer weather, gotten a few compliments but I could careless since it’s my favorites. Mind you there’s still snow on the ground, but I love it.
