📍Where is everyone from?📍
Hello Facilitators👋 I'm really curious about where everyone is from. I'd love to make this a mega post where we can see how diverse the Facilitator Club community is. Who knows, you might find a lot more people in your area than you thought! Once I have lots of answers on this post, I want to make a nice graph!

@Hind Bayane Ohh! My home country 🥰
Hello from BC 🇨🇦
Hello FC! My name is Asmâa and I live on the West Coast of Canada. 🏝️ I am a marketing consultant, leadership coach, and connection facilitator. I worked as a CMO for big organizations for many years and supported their positioning and growth on a global scale. 🚀 In the last 5 years, I discovered my love for facilitation which led me to conduct over 20,000 conversations, co-design hundreds of workshops, and lead my own business leadership programs across North America online and in-person in French and English. 🤓 I love creating space for connection and I have the best time of my life when I merge my coaching, facilitation, and marketing skills together. 🦋 I also love to dance, chase sunsets around the world, and I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends. I am so grateful for discovering this group of my peers and I look forward to learning and growing alongside many of you. ☀️

Tips for facilitating a workshop WHEN YOU’RE ILL?! 🤧
Hey everyone! I’ve got a 2 hour workshop on tomorrow, and this morning I woke up feeling rotten! I still want to run the workshop and I don’t feel sick enough to cancel - what are your tips for dosing up / mustering the energy to still give a great workshop when you’re battling with tiredness or sickness?

Hi Hannah That happened to me twice and it isn’t a fun experience. Both times, I still showed up and delivered a great quality workshop. I invite you to rest today and allow your mind and body to release any stress. Sometimes we feel sick because our self-saboteur highjack our mind and we start to have these negative self-talk that affect our body. Sleep in, take a bath, go for a walk in nature, meditate, and do anything to help you recharge. Trust that you are ready for your event and today you focus solely on your internal state so you can be the best facilitator tomorrow. 🧘 Second is visualization. Imagine yourself delivering the workshop and feeling amazing. Do that a few times during the day. 🌈 Third is stating out loud positive affirmations. It’s like self-commanding your mind and body to get better. « I am healthy. My body heals fast. Etc. 🗣️ Fourth, I have a couple of subconscious recordings that I listen to when I feel sick and I play them when sleeping that I got them custom made a few years back with a hypnotherapist. Try to find recordings you like on YouTube. 🔊 Fifth, because it is a two-day event, ask a peer or your client or even a friend to have co-facilitation support. It doesn’t need to be technical but they can run the mic, set up the room, take care of your needs during the 2-days. Sometimes just knowing there is someone you can rely on when you are sick helps greatly during the event. 🤗 Finally, take some natural immune boosters 2 to 3 hours before the event like a spoon of my favorite mix: tumeric, ginger, garlic, and honey. It tastes awful but so effective. 💪🏼 I really hope these tips help you. Sending you healing energy so you can feel amazing in the next hours! 🍃✨

@Rob Stevens I tried that before and it didn’t go well haha Someone in the audience gave me a negative review from a group of 30 people. He said: « I want to be entertained by you, not hear about your health struggle » I just said I’ll be sitting instead of moving in the first part of the workshop 😂 The rest of the group and the client gave me 5/5. So I guess it’s just one opinion. LOL
Hi from Marcelle
Hello All, my request to join the FC community has just been approved and this is my first post to say Hi and introduce myself. I am interested in developing my facilitation skills the smart way that will add the greatest benefit to those who I work with and for me that will give me the greatest pleasure. I look forward to meeting chatting and maybe meeting some of you and sharing stories and tips on how best to deliver the AJ&Smart Sprint workshops. When not working I like to spend time outdoors walking with my doors discovering new nature trails and learning more about different types of Eco-design housing construction. I look forward to meeting some of you on-line or in person in the near future. Thank you Marcelle
