As we head into Focus Week, I’m curious—what are you focusing on? Is it a habit you’re wanting to build, or a project you’re ready to move forward on? 🤔
I chose a project. My intention is to finish recording my audiobook this week.
Tonight, I sat down to begin again… and discovered my recording tent had been completely dismantled. One of the brooms my daughter had used to build it had been repurposed, leaving my once-cozy setup lopsided and falling apart. Cue overwhelm, discouragement, and frustration.
After a brief (and very real) meltdown, I did some EFT tapping, gathered myself, and rebuilt—this time with chairs and blankets. 🥳
Tomorrow—which also happens to be my birthday—I’ll have the house to myself for most of the day. I’m planning to spend several hours recording and seeing how far I can get. I’m feeling optimistic because my space is set up, I can simply begin, and I even practiced some of the material tonight.
