11 / 26 Check in: Excuses or Progress
This morning as I read this the words sunk in ...deep. It was a reminder what I do each day adds up by the end of a month...six months. So I vowed for each excuse that pops up to flip it into a way for progress. Unable to meet friends to practice sparring....did shadow boxing, bag work while honing technique. Recently a storm hit so unable to restock food supplies. Used the nutritious ingredients available along with from our garden. During storm unable to get to a gym...hit a workout at home. Coving strength, cardio, along with mental awareness (the awareness was looking out the window for 30 seconds then looking away, do my workout, then describe all I "saw" outdoors. Check does it match. This built my body, mind, and situational awareness in a game like way. This allowed me to see where I make excuses, can be turned into opportunities for progress when seen with this new perspective.
