Prayer and Thanksgiving for Today
Psalm 3 (1) Lord, how are they increased that trouble me, many are they that rise against me! (2) Many there be which say of my soul, there is no help for him in God. (3) But you, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter of my head. (4) I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and He heard me out of His holy mountain. (5) I laid down and slept; I awakened; for the Lord sustained me through the night. (6) I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me. (7) Arise, O Lord, deliver me, my God: strike all my enemies on the jaw, break the teeth of the wicked. (8) Salvation belongs unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people. Amen. This short chapter reminds me of the limitless power of God. No matter how big the problem, how many people are against you, or what traps and curses the enemy has put in place. God has already prepared the way for us, and He is our shield, and deliverer. When we lay down to sleep He is there protecting us and waking us in the morning to try again. I'm reminded that there's no need to worry or be afraid because the creator of the universe has set my destiny before me. He has struck and broken the enemies in my path. All glory belongs to God alone. When I'm inline with His plan there is no stopping me! Christ is King
