Let’s go dads
I found this guy. I love his tough approach. He speaks truth. And loves to focus on athletes and being great. Cool guy, John brown Let me know what you think. I’m happy to discuss parenting. I’m still learning. I have made huge mistakes as a dad, but it’s never too late to improve. Let’s discuss https://www.instagram.com/reel/DP7GULrkl98/?igsh=MWNvMmJnajY3NXcwbA==

@Alan Belcher I understand what he’s saying, and he’s right. There are non-negotiables that parents must enforce so children grow into ethical, accountable, responsible, kind, and productive adults. At the same time, I’ve seen parents force their kids into activities they genuinely hated, and it destroyed their relationships. There’s a fine line between teaching discipline and becoming a tyrant. Every child is different and requires a tailored approach. Much like training a dog, you have to discover which rewards and consequences best motivate behavior—but it won’t work most effectively without first building a strong bond and a foundation of trust.
Transformation
Today’s YouVersion Bible Daily Lesson applies to us. Transformation Do you want to be new? All around the world, humans long for change. We long to throw off old habits and ways of thinking if they aren’t serving us anymore. Thousands of self-help books, podcasts, articles, and all kinds of media exist for this very reason. We want to change! And yet, it can feel impossible. Paul, one of Jesus’ disciples, shares this powerful truth in Romans 12:2 (NIV): Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Transformed by the renewing of our minds. What does this mean? Transformation is a massive change. It’s thorough. Complete. A total difference. Like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly, transformation brings an end to the old and a beginning to the new. Paul is showing us that transformation isn’t work we do from the outside in. Transformation happens from the inside out. It begins with our mind. And for our minds to change, we need Truth to grab hold of. God’s Word is this Truth. “All Scripture is breathed out by God…” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 NIV “... Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4 NIV God’s Word guides us when we are lost, strengthens us when we are weary, challenges us when we are compromising, and encourages us when we are overwhelmed. God’s Word changes everything. And this very moment, you hold God’s Word in your hand. Transformation is in your grasp. Read the Bible closely, dig into its verses, wrestle with its teachings, and treasure what you discover about the love and grace of God. The best place to bring your desire for newness is to God and His Word. God’s Word renews our minds. Transformation begins here.

Change “I HAVE to do” to “I GET to do”
Read about this mindset / philosophy recently, and wanted to share it.. Try changing “I HAVE to do” to “I GET to do” It’s a nice mental shift of a reminder that we GET TO because it’s a privilege. Whatever that thing is that’s HARD, whether you love or hate it, it’s the thing that sets you up for positive life results. We don’t have to do it, we get to do it. I don't have to workout, I GET to workout (training + martial arts)for my health and to take care of loved ones.

“Life is always happening for you, not to you.“ -Tony Robbins Follow Tony’s advice and you’ll end most of your self imposed emotional suffering.
Are you free?
Do you consider yourself free? I used to watch braveheart as a ritual before fights. When William Wallace gets publicly hung,l and tortured, he screams out FREEDOM. That got me thinking. Freedom is a mental and spiritual decision you can make. Even when you are being killed, freedom is there to access. To have freedom we must be diciplined, we must have a higher purpose, and we must take action and put in the work. I’m loving this subject for the first month of 2026. To help me create training around this idea I need your feedback. Rate your freedom in these areas from 1-10 , 10 being completely free. Whatever that means to you. 1. Physically (are you a slave to your body or are you free?) 2.Financially (are you able to do what you want and need within reason) 3. Overall mentally ( is your mindset and mental toughness at the point of being unstoppable, your ability to bounce back is strong, nothing phases you? 4. Spiritually ( do you trust gods plan, or are you at odds with who you are and what you are supposed to do? Are you connected to the Holy Spirit and can access the fruits of the spirit so to speak?)
Are you free?

That’s an outstanding, thought-provoking post, Alan. It’s hard to be objective about something so personal and subjective, but here’s my honest self-assessment: Physical- 7.5 Financial- 9.6 Mental- 8.5 Spiritual- 8.8 Daily Bible study has been reshaping how I see trust, surrender, and purpose. This is where I feel the most meaningful growth happening right now.

@Alan Belcher @William H Months ago I downloaded the YouVersion Bible app and daily I read its Lesson Of The Day. I just started a 365 day Bible study plan so I can better understand its lessons over the coming year. For me, studying the Bible keeps me grounded, grateful for all my blessings, and gives me peace. I know God is always for me (us) and with me. There is no evil that can defeat me as a soldier of God. My mission on earth is to evolve my spirit and grow closer to Him and studying the Bible helps me do that.
Give up
Today was awesome. Got some lifting in with @Nicholas Auxier . The mma team training was 🔥. @Jake Bilbo and Jordan killed it again. Here’s some philosophy I think may really help in hard times. When it feels as if nothing is ever going to work. Victim mentality is a demon.. it’s the darkness taking you over. Don’t let it . The secret is to give up? That’s what Roy masters said, I really like his philosophy’s the more I read. Give up before you struggle instead of give in to the struggle after all your spiritual energy is gone. You either give in to heaven or he’ll, that’s the whole game. Give in to heaven . Don’t resent people or the problems your faced with. Smile and accept the challenges. Smile and thank god for the obstacles. Smile and release control over every little thing. Letting go of control puts it all on god. We are not equipped in the tiny little weak flesh suit. This body is nothing but a challenge for us. You will struggle with it forever if you don’t mentally submit to the way things are. Follower of the way, I guess that’s what I am. I’ll see those of you that can make it tomorrow at noon cst for the 2026 upgrade blueprint training. Love yo guys , AB

Yes sir! Your post reminded me of one of my favorite songs, Gravity by A Perfect Circle: Lost again Broken and weary Unable to find my way Tail in hand Dizzy and clearly unable to Just let this go I am surrendering to the gravity and the unknown Catch me, heal me, lift me back up to the sun I choose to live I fell again Like a baby unable to stand on my own Tail in hand Dizzy and clearly unable to just let this go High and surrendering to the gravity and the unknown Catch me, heal me, lift me back up to the sun I choose to live, I choose to live, I choose to live Catch me, heal me, lift me back up to the sun Help me survive the bottom Calm these hands before they Snare another pill and Drive another nail down another Needy hole Please release me I am surrendering to the gravity and the unknown Catch me Heal me Lift me back up to the sun I choose to live, I choose to live
