Ad spend - what to budget?

Hey guys… sorry about the mic on the Zoom just now, and even though I prepared the message below, it turned out to be longer than the character limit allowed!

So now that I have accepted that technology and the rest of the world is ganging up on me, here's my question...!

With Google Ads, how much per day or month would an average small business need to spend?

My target audience used to be for people looking for websites (ie trades, etc), but since I niched and began building bespoke cost calculators for visitors on websites to generate instant quotes (ie my clients potential customers), or staff of a business who want to be able to quote whilst on site or from the office, my target audience has changed somewhat.

So I need to budget, but I don’t have a figure despite hearing some numbers which scare me!
