Without Leads, You Don’t Have Sales
And Without Sales, You Don’t Have a Business LESSON JUST ADDED: It always surprises me that people say they want mentoring, say they want advice, say they want to grow their business… But only a handful actually turn up to the Skool free mentoring sessions on The Growth Syndicate The funny thing is, those same handful are the ones who are growing, improving, and seeing real gains. Why? - Because they show up. - They listen. - They apply. This new lesson came directly from a live mentoring session on Saturday 7 March. We ended up unpacking one of the most important truths in business. If your pipeline is empty… your business will eventually be too. Inside the lesson we cover: • Why most “quiet months” are self inflicted • The biggest mistake entrepreneurs make when they get busy • Why funnels empty faster than you think • The new way customers actually discover businesses today • Why visibility now matters more than search • How slow responses kill leads • Why networking only works if you work it • The system that keeps enquiries flowing Most entrepreneurs try to fix sales. But the real problem is usually much earlier in the chain. Leads. If you’re serious about growing your business, this lesson is worth 10 minutes of your time. Go and watch it now... and read the worksheet Then ask yourself one question: Is your funnel actually full… Or are you just hoping the phone rings? Success Is A System Most people think success is personality. Or luck. Or timing. It isn’t. It is structure. In this new masterclass, alongside the podcast, I break down what I have actually learned from: • Going bankrupt at 27 • Rebuilding from nothing • Scaling globally • Retiring and restarting • Mentoring founders from £200k to £20m • Working heavily with AI This is not motivation. It is architecture. Inside, you will learn: → Why failure is feedback, not identity → How environment quietly shapes your ceiling → Why hustle is overrated and structure wins → The question that exposes whether you are the bottleneck in your own business → How to use AI as leverage, not noise → Why recovery is part of high performance, not weakness → The difference between drive and direction If you feel: • Stuck despite working hard • Frustrated that growth depends on you • Overwhelmed by change • Behind on AI • Exhausted instead of energised This will challenge you. And more importantly, it will give you a system to think differently. Not theory. Structure. Do not skim it. Block 60 minutes. Read/work the masterclass. Listen to the podcast. Take notes. Then come back here and tell me: Where are you the bottleneck? And what are you going to change first? Success is not luck. It is built. Go and build yours.https://www.skool.com/thegrowthsyndicate/classroom/e8a00b2c?md=14660d4ca9e04e799423f853a6adf922

60 mins set aside, going in. Feeling exhausted and lethargic currently … let’s see what my state of mind is in 60 mins.

That was 60 mins very well spent... thoroughly recommend a listen. This audience got some awesome snippets! Cant believe Secret Millionaire was 2011!. The AI stuff in here is incredible. Ive just worked with Chat to give an overview of my business through it's eyes... not mine (that was enlightening alone), createdd my ICP and created some content. All done after a lost day when a client postponed on Monday, which had knocked the energy out of me. Just what i needed.
Your business runs on hope, not systems.
Ask most business owners how they do things: "We just kind of figure it out as we go." That's hope, not a system. Hope: Different approach every time Depends on who's doing it Inconsistent results Breaks when you're not there System: Same process every time Anyone can follow it Consistent results Works without you Hope: "I'll remember to follow up with leads" System: "Every lead gets 7 follow-ups over 14 days, automated" Hope: "We deliver good quality" System: "12-point checklist before every job leaves" Hope: "Sales will probably be decent this month" System: "We need 20 leads to convert 5 at £2k = £10k/week" Your business runs on hope if: You don't know what happens when you're not there Results vary wildly week to week New staff take months to "figure it out" You can't explain how things work Systems are boring. But they're what separates £100k businesses from £1M++ businesses. Stop hoping things work out. Build systems that make them work out. Does your business have systems or just hope?

Jut on boarded our latest partner... it's very much a process and a system. First the Press Release, then the Linkedin post and then a comms out to all our clients. Seems to work well. Could be much more automated though! However, the sign off of all announcements and comms does give me the opportunity to REALLY understand what the partner wants from our relationship from the outset. I'd be interested to understand how other build their funnel though.....

Remove the mask and be REAL
You may have seen yesterday I put a post on LinkedIn about “word porridge” and “bullshit bingo.” That was aimed at the wider world. This is for you Inside this community, we’re building real businesses. We’re not playing at looking clever. One of the biggest traps I see right now is people believing that intelligent-sounding language makes them more credible. It DOESN'T. As someone who’s spent decades in business, failed, rebuilt, scaled, exited, and as someone who works daily in behavioural profiling and human communication, I can tell you this: An impressive word will never beat authenticity. NEVER. AI is an incredible tool. I use it constantly. But if you let it produce academic stew – beautifully structured, perfectly phrased, slightly over-polished content – it will often disconnect rather than connect. Why? Because people don’t consciously analyse it. They just feel it. It sounds too perfect. Too rehearsed. Too “constructed.” And subconsciously they think: that’s not you. Trust is built when your communication sounds like you. Not like a committee. Not like a textbook. Not like a prompt. If you wouldn’t say it out loud to someone you care about, don’t write it that way: - You can still be intelligent. - You can still be structured. - You can still make powerful points. But you don’t need ten-syllable words to do it. In fact, the more AI becomes normal, the more authenticity becomes a competitive advantage: - Be clear. - Be direct. - Be human. Inside this community, I’d much rather see honest, imperfect, real communication than polished nonsense that doesn’t sound like you. Speak to your market the way you’d speak to a friend you respect. That’s what builds connection. And connection builds everything else.

Couldn’t agree with this more. I’m fortunate enough to have a column in an industry publication. When I got the gig I did my first article using AI and shared with the publisher .. it came back minutes later.. “you’ve used AI and it doesn’t sound like you, that’s not why we asked you to write for us..” So now I construct my articles using AI as a prompt, a draft creator and a copy reader on my finished article Shared my latest published article on LinkedIn yesterday
