I tried a new video format, here's what I learned
Here's the video. It's 1 minute long. Watch it before reading lessons learned.
  1. I don't like editing video
  2. I don't love managing an editor
  3. Sometimes constraints breed creativity
  1. I heard a song in Bo Burnam's Inside that I found funny
  2. In this video I shared in Skool, there's a format of video where you record your screen and bring up photo booth
  3. This gave me that could allow me to make engaging video without editing. I record my screen, and then view my computer as an instrument that I play. If I'm talking, I bring up photo booth. If I want music, I bring up Spotify.
  4. I think it also made a cool, unique thumbnail
Lessons:
  1. Constraints breed creativity. Find a way to have your cake and eat it too.
  2. Imitate, then innovate. Creativity comes combining things you've consumed.
  3. I didn't try to make a unique video. I just observed what I didn't want to do. Those constraints bred the unique video. Naturally. Don't try be unique. You're already unique. Just get better at expressing that.
