Creativity
I agree in part that creativity comes from what you consume. The other part...(in my opinion)... is how you use the idea, how you play with it, how you mix it. For example...The Lion King Movie is based on Shakespeare's Hamlet. IT's an animal kingdom with an Uncle who murders his brother the rightful king. The rightful kings son then seeks vengeance. Add in some music, slightly different sub plots, and you get the wonderful creation of the Lion King Movie.
So, the more you consume, and mix, or adjust ideas, the more creative you can be.
Adding on to this, you can take ideas from two different sources and apply them to each other to test if they work with each other. I know an online writer who mixes his knowledge of accounting, with gaming.
I never knew anything about accounting till I read his article.
