I’ve been quietly working with my doctor since last month, and on Wednesday I went in for a small procedure. One of the instructions was to slow down for a while — no heavy lifting, no workouts, and a temporary pause on some of my favourite foods and drinks.
For someone building new habits, this kind of setback can easily become an excuse to stop altogether. But I refuse to let that happen. I’m choosing to stay committed, to show up with intention, even when the path isn’t smooth.
Who ever said this journey would be simple? A detour is still part of the route. The goal hasn’t changed — only the pace.
