How (fast) to pivot

. Let's say you do a pre-auction and it bombs.

It would feel kinda weird hitting them with the next angle the next day...asking them if they would bid a dollar for whatever the new offer is... wouldn't it?

How do you approach this? Just tell them: hey I asked you if you would bid a dollar for x, and it seems like you weren't all that into it... how about y?

Or would you wait some time, nurture them and then drop to the next pre-auction post/mail?
