how do I transition this to some PSM style instead of the auction?

Not had my morning coffee but something along the lines of... Hey Tommy, That’s refreshing to hear. I much prefer working with mission-driven founders and teams too, even if most people only seem to wake up when the conversation is about money first. Can I ask, is it growth itself that’s not a priority right now, or just that an auction feels out of step with the kind of impact you want to make? Only asking because those are two very different things. If it’s the latter, I’ve got a few other campaign ideas that may be more aligned. Would bringing more right-fit people into [Program Name] be off the table? Robert
Hate when they ghost mid-convo?
Last year I pulled $2.4M out of about 3,000 leads for one partner. Just email conversations & a Google Doc Works out around ~$800 per lead. Which is funny… because lots of people already have this sitting in their inbox. They just don’t touch 'em. They start a convo. It’s going alright. Then… *POOF*. The prospect vanishes. And then they either: – don’t follow up – follow up once (and give up) – or send something that screams “please reply to me” and kill it dead I was talking to Travis Sago about it. He said something that inspired me. The one thing that takes people from amateur to pro tapper the fastest... The one thing that gets them to 6 figure campaigns. The same thing he did with Tony Teegarden... Is when he wingmans in their DMs while they have actual convos going on. He also said, he just doesn't wingman much anymore. And he asked me if I could find the time to wingman some Ronin? "You're so good, Chris, I learn from your replies!" Not sure if that was praise but I’ll take it. So I thought… alright. Let's do it for one person. I’ll come into your inbox with you, look at your conversations, and help you handle 'em. Fix the replies. Fix the follow-ups. Stop people quietly slipping away. If I put that up for auction… Would you throw in a $1 bid?

@André Hallaby like all these things it just came down to listening to what they were really wanting.
CDOD: Outreach question
I've got a toy industry coach I want to reach out to. She's running ads on Facebook and I've seen some of them come across my feed. One ad has been going since August '24. I've got two struggles. My first struggle is the only email I can find is an info@ email. I'm sure she doesn't directly open those as she has a team that helps her. So, I'm feeling stuck on a subject line that could break through and end up getting forwarded to her directly. I was thinking "Dumb idea?". I also know naming her baby in the subject line is something that is recommended in CDOD. Gemini recommended I say something specific about the August 24' ad to demonstrate I've done some research and not just a spammer. My second struggle... I want to nail down a present pain around ad spend because I know FB ad costs aren't getting cheaper in 2026. I just don't know enough of the specific pain point coaches are experiencing running FB ads today. Any guidance would be appreciated! -Ronin Chad

If that ad’s been running since August ‘24… there’s a decent chance it’s still within KPI or acting as a control. The more interesting question isn’t that ad… It’s what’s happening around it. Have you looked to see if they’re: - launching new ads and killing them after a few days? - testing but not really scaling anything new? Because that usually tells you more than the long-running ad itself. If they are testing a lot → they’re trying to grow but something’s not working. If they’re not → they might’ve just settled into a comfortable plateau. Either way… that’s probably where the conversation is.
Unworkable auction partner?
I'm discussing an auction with an email copywriter with a 4k person list and small but very active paid community. I'm stuck in a loop where because he's a copywriter he WANTS to write all of the posts and emails. But because of that, it's too much work for him to want to run the auction. Right. "I'm not really sure what you'd be doing since it seems like a lot of work for me." It's absolutely non-negotiable for me to do the posts and emails, so I don't even know if this is worth my time to negotiate. Thoughts?

This is why I don’t normally work with “solopreneurs” They often have a control issue… I’d prefer to work with folks used to outsourcing or delegating 2+ staff is enough of a signal
OI Ronin: He Made $40-50k last year
I'm in the middle of negotiating an AI newsletter. Here's the full thread so far: Him: Hey Evan, thanks for the ping. I never seriously considered it but always thought if the right buyer comes along I just might. What do you have in mind? Me: Appreciate the honest response... and moving this to your private email. Sounds like it hasn't been top of mind for you, which I totally get. I'm pretty new to buying any newsletters, so I want to make sure I don't waste your time. Do you have a ballpark on what would make it worth your while? Totally fine if you need some time to think on it. Him: I don't have a ballpark to be honest. Come to think of it I think it makes sense to have this conversation now actually, so you're not wasting my time. But here are the key facts, let me know if you want to make an offer. The newsletter has ~7k subs and consistently delivers ~40% open rates. Last year I monetized it by selling digital products, courses and lead gen for my freelance dev services, earning about $40-50k in total. This is basically at "maintenance" level activity, I'm not doing much to grow it or properly monetize it, just throwing out offers when I have an idea. He doesn't have a number but he seems to be collaborating. He asked me to make an offer based on laying out the stats. But not sure what a possible don't say price move would look like. What would you do here?
