OK...
So if the call wasn't just fu@$!ng BOMB enough...
This concept slapped me in the face.
Mainly because on the last "coffee date" everything was right.
I picked somone close to the goal line, we only needed the last 10 yards.
I found someone with the J, K, Q, and A of spades, and we only needed my 10 to make the perfect hand.
The numbers were there, and had potential.
So why the FU@% did it end without a deal?
Well...
I was pitching, plain and simple.
I could FEEL it on the call.
I was begging for a job.
I needed her.
And at the end I asked her why SHE chose not to do the deal (why wasn't I the damn chooser)?
I understand all the sharks in the water: skepticism, no cred, etc...
But she really kicked me in the nuts when she said "frankly your PITCH sucked"
MY FU@$!NG PITCH!!
Goddammnnn...
I wasn't "pitching" I was CHOOSING.
Only I wasn't.
Like I said before, even I could FEEL it as we were talking.
preaches it, and God bless and his incredible patience, because he's been hammering it into my thick ass skull.
Oh well... time to dust off and get back on the damn bike.
