Raise the Standard
The problem that actually needs to be solved is massive. Not impossible. Most people say they want to change the world. Very few ever do. Almost none do it for the long-term benefit and betterment of humanity. The reason is simple… They are trying to change outcomes without changing the human standard that creates those outcomes. Low-level operating humans are the root problem. …and that is easily the biggest, most important, and most overlooked problem there is to solve. Because once it is solved, most everything else fixes itself. Consider the implications… If humans improved simply by other humans improving, the entire system would begin to correct itself. If raising the standard at the individual level raised the standard at scale, the downstream effects would be enormous. Not only tyranny, oppression, and lack of freedom. Also… Hunger. Poverty. Crime. Those are not primary problems. They are consequences of low-level operating humans. The ripple effect of a collective higher human standard would be exponential. Immeasurable. Historic. Seen through that lens, it becomes blatantly obvious why so much effort goes into suppressing human potential. Those who benefit from disorder understand exactly what happens when people operate at a high level. The population does not. People have forgotten. Humanity is nowhere near its true capacity, individually or collectively. Humans are not designed to be weak. Not designed to be unfit. Not designed to be dependent. Not designed to be hopeless servants of systems they did not choose. Humans are built to solve problems and innovate society in ways that benefit humanity as a whole. That truth has never changed. The solution has always been right in front of our faces… In the mirror. Literally. The world does not collapse because of a lack of ideas. It collapses because of a lack of cultural standards and capable people. Lazy humans create chaos. Unfit humans create dependency. Undisciplined humans create disorder. Comfortable humans tolerate evil because resistance feels inconvenient.

Final outfit of the year and I wanted to go out with the crazy Oxfords. Moreover, they matched the tie my boys selected for me this year. It's a Silvio Fiorella, who I believe makes the most beautiful ties in the world (artistically). I'm not a fan or actual real-life items being drawn onto ties, so I asked my wife how attached they were to this particular tie. The response was "VERY". They took several days to come to agreement on it, so it is absolutely staying in my tie collection for good. Now it's a reason to bring out the crazy Oxfords! I hope everyone has a fantastic New Year's Eve and that your New Year is wonderful. It's a great time for a reset, if you've been looking to do so. Be the gentleman you've wanted to be, starting now! Today's Outfit Shirt: White Nordstrom shirt with tiny herringbone pattern Slacks: Santorelli light gray wool slacks with a faint check pattern Jacket: J Abboud black wool odd jacket, 2 button and single breasted Tie: Silvio Fiorello duchesse silk tie, self tipped and hand rolled edges, with a pattern of ancient villas and gardens Collar Clip: Large collar clip in silver from Fort Belvedere Belt: Milorde black leather belt with a silver buckle Shoes: Girotti purple leather (from the purple cows) Oxford dress shoes Socks: A nearly perfect purple match with these midcalf socks from Southern Scholar, purple background with white plus signs
