The Emerald Society of Columbus is an Irish American service organization for Police and Fire Fighters.During Lent they hold a fish fry at the Shamrock Club. Tonight was the first fish fry of the season. I wore my knit double breasted jacket with a blue shirt, blue flat cap, blue derbies, a maroon bow tie and tan chinos.

So, I go to a local area chain suit seller who has an independent tailor. I was looking to get through the rest of my tailoring faster than just my tailor has been able to move things along(3-4.5 weeks for a suit and 2 odd socks is typical). I made it in finally… and guess who is moonlighting as a tailor in this store… my regular tailor. I’m scheduled to go to the store he owns to pick up some new suits he was tailoring in an hour. I don’t mind the awkward explanation since I told him last night that I was looking to get through the remainder of my tailoring faster, but I think he felt obligated to take the orders via their store even though I can pick up from his closet suit store where I found him originally. The other bummer is that I don’t now have two tailors working on the remainder of my wardrobe. I don’t mean for that to sound entitled. Six to seven months is just a long time to go through it all when my selection of tailored garments is not massive.
