The combination of living in Southern CA where we barely have seasons and my limited exposure to truly learning about men's classic business attire means that I do not give seasonality much consideration. And yet, this year I feel the pull to stay away from my wardrobe items that are clearly autumnal and wintery. This shift, however, has left me in a bit of a vacuum. This is compounded by my overall displeasure with pastels. I don't mind the core colors of pastels but do not like their washed out look on me. I get that lighter colored suits are more common, but that my grays and navies still work. From there, I am at a loss. How do shoes vary in Spring? Accent items like ties, squares, and belts/suspenders? Vests? Do client meetings trump seasonality decisions when selecting the suit, etc.? I welcome all input and guidance from the brain trust on here. Thanks, in advance!
