This past weekend in Raleigh, NC, I concluded my short visit to spend time with my son and daughter. I had the pleasure of hosting my son and his friends for a truly memorable evening at La Terrazza, an experience where the urban elegance of the rooftop setting was surpassed only by the warmth of our fellowship. The sophisticated culinary offerings served as a perfect catalyst for an evening of deeply engaging conversation, with each course pacing the vibrant flow of shared ideas and laughter. As dusk settled and the city lights began to punctuate the skyline, the ambiance created a powerful synergy, elevating our gathering beyond a simple meal. We departed not just having dined, but having collaboratively authored a cherished memory, one defined by exceptional food, profound connection, and an atmosphere of pure delight. My only regret is that I failed to capture photo's of friends and family during this outing. No worries, there will be more opportunities in the future.

Today’s outfit gave me a lot of flexibility because the wheat/tan textured sport coat, lavender check shirt, and medium-gray trousers create a sophisticated neutral foundation. I chose a rich cognac shoe because it complements the warm undertones of the jacket, while creating a pleasing contrast against the gray trousers. They pickup the casual elegance of the textured fabric, and most importantly they work equally well in office business casual settings. To complete the ensemble I’m wearing a matching cognac belt, a steel watch, light lavender patterned socks that tie in the shirt and pocket square. Given the texture of the jacket, suede loafers might be the most stylish option of all. Why? The combination of textured jacket and suede footwear feels intentional and refined rather than overly corporate. However, because I had several business meetings, I opted for the oxfords. When it comes to business meetings and fragrances, the choice is obvious - Creed Absolu Aventus.
