Statin (the obvious?)

Hi, I had an 'older bloke's health check' recently and have been put on statins to lower my cholesterol. A day in and I have constipation (TMI?) and have had a headache all day. The pharmacist says 'The side effects will wear off but if they don't we can change the medication.'

Anyone here have any experiences of statins to share ...? Hopefully reassuring ...?
