Today’s game day lunch was inspired by and his famous eggs and leftovers. I had salmon and sweet potatoes with 3 eggs for lunch today. I’d give it a solid 8/10, definitely a well rounded meal. However it reminded my why I’m not a big fan of salmon of game days bc during my game my stomach felt off. I think my stomach just doesn’t digest salmon that quickly cause I could feel the food sitting in my stomach. Gonna stick to my grilled chicken instead. But I understand all the hype of eggs and leftovers now. It’s quick, easy, and nutritious.
Today I did a good job of getting in my carbs before my game. I felt really light, speedy and overall energized during my game (which was much needed with our two lines today). I also did a good job of hydrating prior to my game. I’ve noticed the more hydrated I am going into the game the less I feel I need to drink a whole bunch of water during the game.
Tomorrow Im going to make sure I get my carbs in again and have a pre game meal that I know works for me.
