Motivational Monday 🏃‍♀️
Hi friends! I interviewed an incredible person on the podcast for today's episode (@carlyschrom if you want to check her out!) and wanted to share some inspiration with you on this fine Monday.
Carly was diagnosed with Crohn's disease, had liver surgery at 22, went through months of not being able to run, and then slowly clawed her way back one mile at a time. She ended up running her first marathon at 4:30am on the one year anniversary of her surgery. No bib, no crowd, just her and her boyfriend looping a pond in Wisconsin in the dark in December.
Her story was SO full of gratitude for just being able to run, and I think all too often we tend to take being healthy and ABLE to run for granted.
So this week I just want us to be grateful for our runs. The slow ones, the tired ones, the ones where you really didn't want to go but you went anyway. We are really lucky to get to do this. Go get after it this week 💪
