Long overdue win Wednesday!!
Let’s shout out some wins, big or small!! My win of the week is actually NOT running this week, I’ve been under the weather and am not currently training (yay running for fun!) so instead of forcing myself to get in some miles, I’ve prioritized my body and some much needed rest :). Lots of waking!! What’s yours? 👇

I survived a cross country move, and didn’t freak myself out over missing some runs. My first run back went smoothly and honestly the rest was probably good for me!

If you could only choose ONE type/consistency of running fuel to take DURING your runs for the rest of your life, which would you choose? (Add why in the comments!)

This is such a good question! While chews are my favorite kind of fuel, I feel like running makes me feel like I need to drink liquids and I'd never get over having no liquids during a run, so I have to go liquid purely because of the mental factor 🤣

@Kristine Owen Wood Oh then YES chews for sure haha (can't keep me from a snack)
Motivational Monday 🏃‍♀️
Hi friends! I interviewed an incredible person on the podcast for today's episode (@carlyschrom if you want to check her out!) and wanted to share some inspiration with you on this fine Monday. Carly was diagnosed with Crohn's disease, had liver surgery at 22, went through months of not being able to run, and then slowly clawed her way back one mile at a time. She ended up running her first marathon at 4:30am on the one year anniversary of her surgery. No bib, no crowd, just her and her boyfriend looping a pond in Wisconsin in the dark in December. Her story was SO full of gratitude for just being able to run, and I think all too often we tend to take being healthy and ABLE to run for granted. So this week I just want us to be grateful for our runs. The slow ones, the tired ones, the ones where you really didn't want to go but you went anyway. We are really lucky to get to do this. Go get after it this week 💪

Carly’s episode was SO inspiring and I was engrossed from start to finish. Certainly made me appreciate every slow and terrible mile!
Friday Poll 👟
How many pairs of shoes do you currently have in your training/racing rotation? (This is a no judgement zone 😉)

@Emily Bailey I finally threw out my first pair of shoes this week because we’re moving and I couldn’t justify the box space 😭😂
