Wednesday wins (happy april!! 🌸)
Happy April y’all! Let’s shoutout our wins from the week :). I love reading through these!! I’ve had a goal this training block to do most of my strength days at the gym (nothing wrong with at home strength - I just find I get a better quality workout when I go to the gym personally because it holds me more accountable for some reason 😂) So far I’ve made it 3 weeks in the gym! What’s your win this week? 👇

BEST wishes to you, Aimee, and to everyone for your upcoming races! I still have 4 weeks before my first ever marathon (Garmin marathon in Durham, NC), but I know it will be here soon. I really appreciated Kristine's response to Aimee because I have the same fears... how to add 6 more miles on race day? Thank you, Kristine, for your helpful perspectives!

🩷 Thank you, Kristine!!!
Wednesday wins!
Let’s shout em out - big or small!!! My win of the week was running a virtual half over the weekend! It was challenging, but helped me recognize a few areas I’m feeling less strong in and was able to get some advice from my coach on how to tackle and improve 🫡

Wednesdays wins!
Let’s shout em out - big or small!!! My win of the week was getting in my full run yesterday with run club even with temps skyrocketing here in NC 💪💪. I’m not acclimated yet, but moving in the right direction feels great!

@Emily Bailey That's a fantastic perspective about having the best training block you've ever had & focusing on future goals. I like what Kristine wrote, too, that no effort is ever wasted. Great job!

@Taylor Sayles thank you!! I’ll be sure to choose hilly areas for a few more of my training runs these next few weeks.
Hi marathoners!
I'm so happy to have discovered Taylor's podcast + this community as I train for my 1st marathon (May 2 in Durham, NC).

My running story
Hey everyone! I'm Heather, from Cochrane Alberta Canada 🇨🇦 I'm a lifelong runner, starting with runs with my Mom then leading to sprinting & track, when I was a teenager I stopped running for 4 years as I was diagnosed with endometriosis and didn't start running again until that felt managed. By my 20th birthday I was running again and with a new best friend, my dog. In this time I survived a violent DV situation. Not realizing that our daily 10k runs would lead me to understand I'm an endurance runner. I started to run half marathons (I now run marathons) in his honor while I was facing my own serious health battles. I know what it's like to show up during different phases of life, in a different body, with fear while managing a business. I also know what's on the other side of showing up - finding yourself! I'm 37 currently going on 38 so I've almost earned my master runner title! Happy to help in any way that I can, if anything I've learned along the way is going to help anyone - I feel that's why I learned it. Thanks for having me!
