Brand spankin' new Ask A Marathoner tab!
Hello friends! For this tab, I plan to collect all the qs and advice I've gotten on the show and compiling it here in a few different posts. Eventually, I would love to do a monthly call here where we can bounce ideas off of each other! Aside from that - please feel free to post any and every marathon question you have here. We have 15+ mentors in this group that would love to answer your questions, myself included! Judgement free zone :) Ask away!

Where to access the membership!
Hey friends! I've gotten a handful of questions about the course/membership the last few days so figured I'd make a thread here - feel free to comment any other questions you have about the course as an alternative to 1v1 coaching or message me directly! If you are here looking for the Buddy Course - you can find it under the "Classroom" tab. Once you click into the course, you will have the option to upgrade your membership, and then will get access to the full 20-week Buddy Course + access to the private Strava Group. There will be monthly webinars as the course community grows as well. The 20-week course is not designed to replace your training plan, but rather walk you through it. There is a single 5-10 minute video to watch each week leading up to your marathon that teaches you about how to read your plan, how to dial in fuel, what you should expect week over week and a handful of resources that you can save. I attached the course overview video to check out to give a little more clarity :) This is a great alternative if you don't have the means for 1v1 coaching but still want that "coaching" experience! Lmk how I can help!! -Taylor

Welcome First Time Marathoners!
Hey everyone - welcome to the My First Marathon community! The first thing I want you to know is the thought of running a marathon doesn't cross most people's mind, so the fact that you're taking this chance on yourself means you're doing something incredible for yourself. We don't take that lightly, and you shouldn't either. You should be SO PROUD of yourself for even taking that leap of faith! Here's the details & expectations of the group! - Be kind! There will be a lot of first timers here working their way through running their first marathons just like you. When discussions come up, be thoughtful and kind with your answers. - Be supportive & active! Post your training stories, questions, and successes/set backs as much as you choose! We want this to be a helpful and interactive experience for all. - Have fun! The running community is the best group of people I know - let's show eachother that love. - When the First Marathon Buddy Course launches on 2/9, you'll have the opportunity to start your monthly membership and gain access to a ton of resources like a 20-week course meant to help you make sense of your own training plan, access to a private Strava built for first timers, and access to bi-monthly Q&A style calls to help guide you along your journey. Stay tuned for more info! To kick things off - please share the story of your running journey and which marathon you're choosing as your first so we can get to know you! Thanks for being here, I'm so excited for this to launch 🧡 -Taylor
Thursday check-in!
No prompt today - just a simple “how are yall doing?!” What’s hard right now? How’s training going? What can we support you with? 👇
Happy Monday! Some welcomes + updates :)
Howdy MFM crew! 🤠 Happy Monday :) First off - a MASSIVE welcome to our newest members! We're so stoked you're here, tell us a little bit about yourself in comments! @Shelby Herban @Melissa Beilfuss @Amy Artyomenko @Ashley Blankenship @Kaitlin Ketcham @Ryan Czar @Bobby SIsock Second - couple updates based on ya'lls feedback! - Added the "Ask a Marathoner Tab" and moved some of the questions we've gotten so far in there. I'll be adding a FAQ post both from questions I get on the show and ones we've gotten here from the community. The goal is to make it a judgement free zone to ask the group of experienced runners we have here, so ask away! - Added a separate "weekly posts" section to keep the gen discussion page a little less crowded, and give @Kristine Owen Wood a place for her polls so you never miss one :) Thanks for being here! Go crush whatever goals you have this week!
