Most of what I said in my 2025 setup presentation is scratch. The basics still hold. Here's what changed: 1. I run it all from Claude Code. Finding domains, transfers, DNS records and mailbox orders all go through the APIs. The Inbox Insiders Claude skill that does the mailbox side is in the resources, on the house. 2. I don't tell you to put your domains in Cloudflare anymore. A couple months ago a wave of blacklists hit domains that share the same name servers, and every Cloudflare account gets the same set. Keep them at your registrar instead. 3. Running a lot of domains, or setting them up for clients? Use isolated name servers (we use Amazon Route 53). 4. Domain masking proxies instead of redirects. A redirect is a red flag that the domain is for cold email. A masking proxy shows your real site on the cold domain, and Google and Microsoft can't tell the difference. Redirects are still pretty much okay at small scale, under about 50 mailboxes. 5. Google legacy panels used to run almost all my cold email. Up to 300 mailboxes each, no monthly bill, and I stocked up on hundreds at about $300 one time. Now Google is a lot less tolerant of them and they cost close to $2,000, so I mostly use mine for company email and inbox placement tests. Full walkthrough in the new video Want it done for you? Apollo is a good database. 250 million leads, great filters, pre-verified emails. But the prices are high, the export limits are low, and cold email at real volume needs a massive amount of data. Here's what I use now: 1. GetLeads for the data. There's no dashboard. You query it through their API from Claude Code or Codex, and it's unlimited for a flat fee. $249 a month on the partner plan, and that plan won't be around long. 2. Supabase to store it. I have tens of millions of records in there for about $20 a month. Cancel the data provider and the data is still yours. Try that with Apollo. 3. Reacher to verify it. It isn't spam, so a normal deliverability test says you're fine. You just sit there with low open rates wondering why nobody replies. The problem is the IP addresses. GoHighLevel's default sender puts you on shared IPs with tens of thousands of other sub accounts, and a lot of those people are terrible marketers. You can pay for a dedicated IP, but it shows up brand new with no warmup and no reputation. You burn that one too. So I stopped using their sender. Here's what I did instead: 1. Plugged Amazon SES into GoHighLevel as the sending service. Email Services, Add Service, Other. It costs 10 cents per 1,000 emails. Do NOT use it for cold email, they will ban you. 2. Added ghost ink to every marketing email, so it reads as personal and lands in Primary. 3. Rebuilt what breaks when you leave their sender. An unsubscribe form linked in every email, bounces fed back into GoHighLevel, and email re-verification every 90 days. Skip this and the spam reports get you kicked off Amazon. You need the IP fix and the ghost ink together. One without the other doesn't get it done.
