Funny: Getting paid 8% per year in dividends for shorting the market
It's 1030 pm that night and I received an email - dividend.
Huh?
I am not a dividend investor as I am currently shorting the market with SQQQ shares.
Turns out SQQQ - 3x leveraged short QQQ has an annual dividend of 8%.
Getting paid 8% per year for shorting the market is pretty good (assuming you short the market at the right time).
What an interesting time.
For July, it will likely be a very bearish month.
Brace for the rollercoaster ride!
