I've been running a lot more published content than I used to---I used to despise running prewritten modules and adventures lol, mostly because my approach was pretty rigid and I was only using big old 5e campaign books. My philosophy has been that if I'm running something premade, I want it to save me a lot of time, and the method of prep I had clashed with it pretty badly.
As part of working on the second book, I ran a ton of content to refine the process for adapting it, and was super surprised at how well it could mesh with a proactive game, and how much more fun I was having than I'd come to expect and how unexpected the stories actually ended up being. I'm curious: has anyone in the lab run any/much published modules, campaigns, adventures, whatever? I've definitely seen a few mentioned on here, but it seems like the majority prefer to make their stuff from scratch. What are your preferences? How's your experience been, either way?
