Peas/ mangetout
Has anyone planted their peas like this, this is my second lot planting like this and the first ones were a great success, I was always told peas do not like their roots to be disturbed and last year my peas were destroyed as soon as they came through by pigeons and mice so this year Iโ€™ve tried starting them off in rone pipes with tape along the end then when they are big enough I just remove the tape and slide the whole lot out into the ground, trying some more for spaces I know will be coming up soon and hopefully they will be ready to go in at the same time, this time Iโ€™ve left spaces so they are in smaller groups as hoping to grow up canes in a tepee shape ,

Winter growing
I've not started to sow any seeds for over winter ... Am I too late? (I'm in the South West Scotland). Was thinking leeks, purple sprouting, kale, swede maybe? Any other suggestions? (Not a fan of cabbage / cauliflower and have a few parsnips in). Thanks
