Compost win
Trying to get caught up with lots of things at the moment in the garden before I head off on holiday in 4 weeks time, topping up some of the beds today and really pleased with my compost, not quite sure what I’ve done but it seems to be a win

I was pretty impressed with mine too this summer. When we got that string of days that his mid 90’s it composted so fast! Was excited to use it in my beds.

Those look like a nice salad in your future. Add some cherry tomatoes and vinaigrette. Yumm.
Workshop Planning!
'Tis time to start planning our next live workshop! What topic(s) would you be most excited to learn about right now?? We could tackle something seasonal, like preparing your garden for winter, or we could dive into a specific topic or crop and walk through everything you need to know from start to finish! I've put some ideas below, but if you're in between a few or there's something else you've been wanting to learn, 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮(𝘀) 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀!

@Mary Lummerding I’ve been sticking to the typical my last two (only two) years. Tomatoes, peppers, radishes, carrots, asic herbs, lettuce/spinach/kale, onions, cucumbers and summer squash. I really want to add more. I just don’t have a lot of room right now for expanding. I’d love to do cabbage, different lettuce as well didn’t like the mixed varieties of leaf lettuce. We like the sweeter lettuce rather than the peppery and bitter ones. Would also add more herbs. I want to get garlic in the winter for a summer harvest. Will be my first time growing it. I’m not even sure exactly what I want to add. I should order a seed catalog to research. lol.

@Mary Lummerding I will. Have to check out carafes cabbage. Not heard of it. This was my first year growing zinnias. They are beautiful. My one plant is huge.

Great harvests.
Squash harvest
Almost done processing everything from the garden. Just finished sanitizing all this squash -- over 50 pounds -- and now I have to figure out where to put it in my very small house. LOL. First time growing tromboncino squash. They are crazy productive!! Definitely recommended if you have space.

I want to try squash. My summer stuff was still producing though so I don’t have space for them. Maybe even more reason to let my husband cut down the walnut tree 🌳 Then I can another row or two of beds. lol.
