I am putting in the effort to add cardio to my routine. I want to take care of my health the best I can since I am blessed with a capable body. I have never been a runner but I'm trying to convince myself that I like it (or at least can tollerate it enough to just do it). I was on my usual walk today (about 2 to 2.5 miles), and I thought of what talked about during the live last night. She said she was surprised by how well she is able to tollerate running now! And it happened naturally. That inspired me, and I decided to run for several chunks of my walk. It felt good. Eventually, the goal is to be able to run the whole route.
I've gotten used to lifting (I am in phase 4 of the 1 year workout plan book I originally bought back in 2018 and never stuck with for more than a couple of weeks but will finish in July eeeek!!!), tracking my meals, doing mobility, etc., so it's time to see what I can do as far as cardio goes. Thank you, Valerie, for the motivation!!! I'm so happy that I started following Darren last summer, and I think the addition of this community has absolutely helped me stay on track this whole time.
